Masters of Foamracing

The Masters of Foamracing was established by Speedtech RC
Germany owner Markus Mobers in 2008. This is a race for
1/12 and 1/10 Pan Cars on foam tyres only.
After a superb succes in 2008 with racers from 8 different
countries, we will host another Masters of Foamracing, this
time in central Germany, Schermbeck, at the famous Sipotech
track.
In the past we had European Champions, as well as newbies
enterimg our race, so do not hesitate to enter the race!

Additives
– Only Speedtech RC Foam liquid will be allowed, it can be purchased trackside
•
Batteries
– Only Lipo batteries allowed, due to safety please charge in a Liposack only!!
– 1S batteries, based on EFRA list
– 2S batteries, any batteries in a hardcase! are allowed (2S for WGT only)

Bodies
– For 1/12 EFRA body list with some exceptions:
Black Art BA002, Parma Speed 8 & 8HD, Protoform Speed 12 are allowed
– World GT: only World GT bodyshells are allowed, based on ROAR/USA rules
(Protoform Corvette, Protoform Sophia, Parma Aston Martin, etc...)

World GT: the weight limit is minimum 930 grams, including personal transponder
The voltage limit on 1S batteries before the race will be 4.20(9) volts.
The voltage limit on 2S batteries before the race will be 8.40(9) volts.
We tested both 1S 10.5 and 2S 17.5, the performance is pretty equal.
The ground clearance is minimum 3mm.
You can bring your own World GT and 1/12 tyres.
Our first thought was to make a Spec tyre for World GT, but to keep this class as cheap
as possible, also for newbies, you can bring your own tyres.
The local hobby shop at the track will offer everything a Pan Car driver wants!!

Entry fee is 25€ (1 class) or 50€ (2 classes)
We offer the following classes:
a. 1/12 Modified
b. 1/12 Stockspec 10.5
c. 1/10 WORLD GT
The fee is paid to the race organizers bank account before the race. Entree
deadline is the 3rd of october 2010. Entry becomes final after receival of the
payment. Entry fees will not be refunded.
PLEASE BE AWARE, ENTRIES THAT ARE NOT PAID ON 3RD OF
OCTOBER WILL BE CANCELLED. IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO PAY
CASH AT THE RACE! !

the bank details and the reminder to pay your entry.
There is maximum of 80 entries, so make sure you place your entry fast!
Race format
– 3 controlled practice rounds, 4 qualifying rounds (first practice at 9.00 on
Saturday)
– FTQ; fastest time in qualifying
– 2 out of 3 finals count, EFRA rules

The race venue, Modellbau Sipotech, Schermbeck, is situated approx 30 km
from the centrum of Oberhausen (Ruhr area)

The track is 28 x 14 m size with plenty of room for spectators (length 110m)
•
The Schermbeck race track is well know in Benelux, it has had visitors from
Germany, Holland, Belgium, Finland and France!

Its the most popular indoor RC track in Germany, it has been visited by Team
Yokomo, Team Corally, Team LRP and Team Serpent to practice before
major 1/12 events.

Currency unit in Germany is euro divided into 100 cents.
You can exchange foreign currency and traveler's cheques in all banks
in the city centre. Banks are open from 10am – 4.30pm on weekdays
and closed on Saturdays and Sundays.
Credit cards such as American Express, Diner's Club, Eurocard,
Mastercard, Visa Electro and Visa are widely accepted in hotels,
restaurants, department stores and even some taxis.
Note that only euro’s (€) are valid at the track
Shopping hours are usually from 9am - 6pm on weekdays and from
9am - 3pm on Saturdays. Most of the supermarkets and shopping malls
remain open until 9pm on weekdays and until 6pm on Saturdays.
For the ladies specially the famous huge shopping centre in
Oberhausen is very attractive
