Personally, Sharon and I realize how fortunate and blessed we are to be included among that privileged role call of Pastors’ and Pastors’ Wives who were called, blessed and charged to lead and feed God’s called, chosen and faithful. I am so very grateful for those individuals who developed a personal vision within “the” vision and took every opportunity to introduce others to Jesus. A Pastor’s greatest church growth tool, is that we are witnesses to the cause of Christ. Welcome Altar Prayer Selection Announcements Pastoral Remarks Gifts, Tithes, Offering Offertory Selection The Spoken Word Call to Discipleship Communion (1st Sunday) Benediction __________________________________________________________________________________ Our lives may have been different, our backgrounds may have been different, but our cause was the same; to demonstrate a commitment to God, and compassion to God’s people. I pray that the Will of God, the Way of God, and the Word of God would continue to dominate the hearts and minds of the members of this historic fellowship. I pray also that we would continue to be a beacon of light to the Lawnside community and beyond, as we would continue to transform lives to reflect God’s Kingdom. I am forever grateful that my past has been covered with the blood of Christ (Psalm 102:12), and the present power of the death of Christ has delivered us “who once were far off” (Ephesians 2:13), and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when he appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is (I John 3:2) Sharon and I will forever acknowledge our constant dependence on Jesus as the...“bread of life” who came down from heaven (John 6:35–59) and placed us on a path of eternal life. In Christ, Pastor Reggie & Sharon __________________________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________________________ Sunday Worship 100th Anniversary, October, 25TH Preacher: Sermon Title: __________________________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________________________ Sunday Worship, October, 4TH Preacher: Sermon Title: __________________________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________________________ Sunday Worship __________________________________________________________________________________ October 25, 2015, 11:00 AM __________________________________________________________________________________ Pastor Emanuel Lee Lambert, Sr. __________________________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________________________ Sunday Worship (Youth Sunday), October, 11TH Preacher: Sermon Title: __________________________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________________________ Pastor Emanuel Lee Lambert, Sr. is married to the former Martina Bryant; he is a proud father and grand father. HEALTH TIPS Breast Cancer Risks and Screening October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and we want every woman-and man to be breast cancer aware. This month let’s apply all the information we know about this disease to make solid recommendations. Lifetime risk factors for breast cancer include aging, early age of the onset of menses, number of breast biopsies, age at first live birth of a child and family histories of breast cancer in first degree relatives. Other risk factors include alcohol consumption, estrogen replacement therapy during menopause and obesity. The most important risk factor is family history in your mother, aunts or sisters. Remember paternal aunts with breast cancer are part of the family risk factor. Here are the most current recommendations for breast cancer screening: Start monthly self breast exams at age 20. Have a medical professional perform a breast exam every three years starting at age 20; start yearly exams by age 40. Annual mammogram starting at age 40-50. CYT—CHILDREN YOUTH AND TEEN CHURCH IT’S MY LIFESTYLE - The Human Body has many parts, but many parts make up one whole body, so it is with the body of Christ.1st. Corinthians 12:12. Lower Sanctuary after offertory prayer, Third, Fourth Sundays. The first small frame church which replaced the Tent stood on property purchased from Mr. Leslie Watkins, a local farmer, and by 1921 under the leadership of the first recorded pastor Reverend Rafael Johnson, the church started to mark membership milestones, such as attendance, and length of service. By 1928 under the leadership of Rev. John Luke Jones, the church started to see sustained progress in all areas, to include membership. However, in August of that year, the membership had to initiate a building program to offset debt incurred by the loss of everything in a consuming fire. Undaunted, the membership re-built, and by 1938 Reverend W.H. Watson led the church in its membership of organizations such as the National Baptist Convention, Bethany Baptist Association, and the New Light Union. They marked the 27th anniversary in 1942 with a banquet, and mortgage burning ceremony. In April 1984, the current facility was constructed and occupied. In addition, the congregation of this period was also credited with the payment of a three hundred thousand dollar mortgage, 18 years ahead of schedule.
