EVENT HIGHLIGHTS
Dawn Cox, Rock 103’s “Midday Lady,” was on USAA detail at its new
financial center in Columbus, Georgia. Dawn is an Army veteran, so she
felt great about getting the word out about USAA and uniting with other
local service members. She welcomed active duty military and their
families to the new storefront, located on a busy road aptly named for
our country’s heroes. The station used the location to its advantage and
parked its Rock 103 Hummer just a few “klicks” from the street to attract
even more traffic.
The station set up inside due to rain, but it brought a lot of traffic into
the USAA lobby. Dawn gave away CDs and movie passes. People who
showed their active duty military ID cards also had the chance to pick
up two free tickets to a sporting event at Auburn University.
Dawn’s live call-ins mentioned all the benefits USAA members
receive. She also put USAA’s branch manager, Nicole, on the air to talk
about services offered, veterans who work at the branch, and the
organization’s excitement about joining the neighborhood.
