What is the Wesley Medical Clinic?
Our Spring Dinner/Theater Party
Barbara Farmer spent many years in social work, then made a dramatic career change and since last spring has been the Assistant Minister of Pleasant View United Methodist Church. There, she helped start a free medical clinic, which she now serves as Director.
This week, we will hear about the Barbara Farmer
Wesley Medical Clinic, the people it helps and plans the Rev. Farmer and her congregation have for this unique community outreach program.
Hint: The clinic now operates only on Fridays, seeing 20+ patients who have no other way to obtain medical care. Could this become an every-‐day service? Come and learn.
Kiwanians and guests gathered for a great meal and fellowship at the Senior Center
Bob is the club’s new Travelin’ Man
For several years, our club has fallen down on its duty to visit other Kiwanis clubs, but Bob Warren promises to change that. As the new Interclub Chair, he will arrange visits by four of our members to other Kiwanis clubs and events. Our Bristol Kiwanis friend tell us they try to have two Interclub visits each month. We will begin more slowly with one visit. When Bob calls you, please say “yes” – and have a great time making new Kiwanis friends.

of the Symphony of the Mountains. She said concerts can cost $35,000 to stage and only one fourth of that money comes from ticket sales. The rest must come from community and individual gifts.
Our new member ceremony was held January 12, with District Governor Don Dudey presiding. Two of the 10 to be recognized were not present that day, but they were last week. So David Jordan and Gary Lester, both with big smiles, received framed membership certificates. changing the world, one child and one community at a time
