Greenville Health System continues to provide clinical training to third- and fourth-year
University of South Carolina School of Medicine Columbia students by serving since 1991 as
a regional campus for that program.
Starting in 2009, Greenville Health System and the University of South Carolina jointly
initiated development of a separately accredited medical school that would provide all four
years of medical education at Greenville Health System. Coincident with Greenville Health
System celebrating its centennial anniversary in 2012, the University of South Carolina
School of Medicine Greenville enrolled its charter class.
Those involved in these two USC undergraduate medical programs at Greenville Health
System are listed on the following pages.
