Located in the middle of the Anatolian plateau, Ankara is the capital city
of the Republic of Turkey, the heart of our country with a ten thousand
year history. Hosting several western and eastern civilizations over the
centuries, today Ankara is a national and international center of politics.
It is also a city of culture and art and a leading tourism, commercial and
industrial center.
With its distinctive design and modern architecture, Esenboga Airport
Domestic and International Terminal is the place where people get a first
impression of our country.
Besides being the first airport in Turkey to house domestic and
international terminals under the same roof, Ankara Esenboga Airport is
also distinguished as the most modern airport in Europe.
Completed under the “build-operate-transfer” model in October 16th,
2006 within a record period of time (a year earlier than the committed
completion date) and put into operation by TAV Airports, the Ankara
Esenboga Airport Domestic and International Terminal welcomes
approximately 40,000 passengers daily with safe and quality service,
operation under the principle of “Unconditional Customer Satisfaction.”
Ankara Esenboga Airport, the gate for Anatolian people to fly within
Turkey and to the rest of the world, provides service to approximately 24
international airlines and hosts a daily average of 300 aircraft, taking off
and landing.
While the unique architectural design of the terminal offers passengers
easy access to areas they wish to visit and a wide and spacious perspective
from any part of the building, the convenience of pedestrian traffic
provides excellent comfort for passengers.
As a result of comprehensive implementations within the context of
continuous improvement, our airport ensures that our disabled guests
receive the same services that are available to other visitors at all points
as an “Obstacle-free Airport.”
We operate our terminal building with the utmost sensitivity to the
environment. Our environmental policy is based on “Sustainability with
Economic and Ecological Efficiency.” This approach leads us to utilize
energy resources in the most efficient way without compromising
on comfort and to continue our operations in compliance with our
“Sustainable Development” policy.
TAV Airports provides service in the capital with experienced and cheerful
personnel at all points, from the car park to security controls, cafes,
restaurants, duty free shops and boarding gates.
We continuously enhance the service quality within the terminal while we
realize our vision of becoming a hub for Anatolia and the Middle East.
And we say...
“Fly from Anatolia to Ankara; and then from Ankara to the
rest of the world”.

TAV IN BRIEF
TAV Airports is a success story built on the accumulation of knowledge,
experience and creativity gained in airport operations, one of world’s
most challenging sectors. TAV’s history started in 1997 with the tender
for Istanbul Atatürk Airport International Terminal. TAV Airports Holding was established as a joint venture between the Tepe and Akfen
Groups, who won the tender. Having grown to become a great success
story within a very short period of time, TAV soon became a global brand
in airport operations and construction thanks to its know-how, highly
skilled human resources and advanced technology. Having gone through
a restructuring process in 2006 in line with its goals, TAV re-organized its
operational activities under TAV Airports Holding and and construction
activities under TAV Construction. Following this re-structuring process,
TAV Airports Holding had its initial public offering in February 2007. In
May 2012, 38 percent of TAV Airports shares were sold to Aéroports de
Paris. Today, TAV Airports, Turkey’s global brand in airport operations,
operates Istanbul Atatürk, Ankara Esenboga, Izmir Adnan Menderes, Milas-Bodrum and Gazipasa-Alanya Airports in Turkey,Tbilisi and Batumi
Airports in Georgia, Monastir and Enfidha-Hammamet Airports in Tunisia, Skopje and Ohrid Airports in Macedonia, Medinah Airport in Saudi
Arabia and Zagreb Airport in Croatia are also operated by TAV Airports. In
addition to airport operations, the holding also operates, through its affiliates and subsidiaries, in auxiliary airport services including duty-free,
food and beverage, ground handling services, IT, security and operation
services. As part of these diversified services TAV Airports also operates
the duty-free, food and beverage and other commercial areas at Riga Airport in Latvia. In 2015, the company provided services for 780,000 flights
and more than 102 million passengers.
