Fathers are wonderful people

And we do not sing their praises
As often as we should…
But Father’s are just wonderful
In a million different ways,
And Merit loving compliments
And accolade of praise
For the only reason Dad aspires
To fortune and success
Is to make the family proud of him
And to bring them happiness…
And like or Heavenly Father,
He’s a guardian and a guide,
Someone that we can count on
To be always on our side.

Strengthen your faith by thinking through some of
the “Tough Questions” with other Millennials this
summer. Whether you’re working in the area, or
just home from college for a while, we’d love to
get to know you! We‘ll meet by the mailboxes
on Sundays at 9:50am and then walk over to the
parsonage together. Contact Lizzy Rabon or Ann
Lawton for more information.

Family Movie Night on the Lawn - All are
invited to an evening of movie watching
under the stars on Friday, June 10th as we
view Heaven is for Real. Bring the kids,
neighbors, blankets and lawn chairs for a
night of outdoor family fun. Show time will
be around 9pm. Popcorn and refreshments will be provided by the SUMC Men's
Ministry. In case of inclement weather we
will move into the sanctuary. See you on
the Lawn!
Simple Summer Dinners
(for 7-8): Singles and
couples will meet at a
restaurant for a meal.
It’s that simple! If you’d
like to get together with
others in this casual way,
sign up in the foyer for a
Saturday evening out on
June 18 or July 16. Note:
sign-up pages are for
specific dates and age
groups. Sign up for 1-2
times. Contact Ann
Lawton at

with any questions.
All Are Invited to the Youth Senior
Sendoff Potluck at 5PM on Sunday, June 5th, in the Sanctuary.
This is a time for both families and
the church family extended - to
celebrate the amazing accomplishments of our high schoolers
and shower them with love as
they embark on the next big adventure.
Sunrise United Methodist Church celebrates its graduates and prays the Lord’s
blessing upon these next days and years as you move forward with the

S Ée
At this time of year, each of our children and youth are ‘promoted’ up a grade. Children enter the next
grade level for Sunday school, graduate out of Children’s Church, and youth enter youth group for the
first time!
Sunrise UMC also presents its third grade students with Bibles.
Please be in prayer for these young disciples as they discover God’s Word – whether through the ministries of Sunrise, at home, or wherever the Spirit finds them.

The Missions Committee is placing a basket at
the altar at each service where children and
others are invited to bring a non-perishable
item to place in the basket to benefit the Holly
Springs Food Cupboard. Young children
may place their items in the basket when they
come for the children’s message and others
may bring items forward during offertory. You
may also make a donation by giving your
item to a child to take up at either time.

Grandpa’s Guy
By: Kim Chase
When I was born I know you
must have jumped up with joy.
It wasn’t just because I was
a big handsome baby boy
But because you weren’t just
to be called dad anymore.
But Grandpa now was another
name and one to always adore.
Grandpa remember when you
looked into my eyes.
And they stared up at you and
you knew that I was one of your guys.
I watch you grandpa all of the time
and that is how I learn.
To be the right kind of guy
One who acts with love and concern.
Stephen Ministers are
available for anyone going
through a rough time. We
provide trained Christian
support for as long as you
need it.
