Install flooring planks, leaving 1 inch gap for molding
installation. Draw line on flooring for hole placement.
Using a 1/4” concrete drill bit pre-drill 2” deep holes using
same measurements as dowels. With pencil, mark on
floor the location of each dowel. BE SURE TO VACUUM
PRE-DRILLED HOLES.

brush or 60 grit sandpaper to roughen up the surface to
increase the bond on the side where glue will be applied.

Slide dowels into groove on bottom of the SlimTrim molding
and position them according to template. Line up dowels
with pre-drilled holes. Adjust dowels as needed.
NOTE: Dowels have to fit tightly for the molding to
function properly. If you find the dowel is too difficult to
slide in, take 100/120 grit sandpaper, lay it flat on a
surface and sand down the dowel head slightly with a
couple of passes (See Detail A at the right).

Using both hands, start at one end and gently push molding 1/4” down at a time. It should take several passes to push
molding all the way down. Best hand position is holding dowel between pointer fingers and pushing down with
thumbs directly over dowel. DO NOT TRY TO PUSH ENTIRE MOLDING IN ALL AT ONCE.

When molding is a finger’s width from the floor, insert tip of glue gun under one edge of molding and apply a
polyurethane construction adhesive along one side of the flooring. MAKE SURE YOU APPLY ADHESIVE TO ONLY ONE
SIDE OF THE MOLDING AND THAT ALL SURFACES THAT THE ADHESIVE TOUCHES IS DUST AND DEBRIS FREE.

Pencil marks
When finished applying adhesive, start again at beginning of molding and push dowels all the way down until molding
is secure. Use a rubber mallet to gently tap on top of each dowel until molding sits flush. Use pencil marks as
reference.

T-Molding
T-Moldings are commonly used in doorways to join two laminate
floors in adjoining rooms. Also recommended when making a
transition from laminate floor to another floor that is approximately
the same height.

Preferred Plank Form
To get your custom match started, just send us a box of planks of the particular floor you would like matched. If
you can only send us one plank, please remember what you give us, is what you get out. To help you determine
the best plank to send, please follow the guidelines below. Obviously not all flooring can be perfect. Wood
being a natural product will often have some imperfections. With this in mind, please send us the best plank
possible.

Minimums
There is a 30 piece minimum per color/profile. If you can’t meet the 30 piece minimum, we are
now offering even more color options via our "Rare Color Collection". See Rare Color Collection
tab for pricing. Contact your sales representative for more details.
Overage/Shortage
With all custom match orders there is a possible overage/shortage of 10% per color/profile. Your
company will be expected to accept these overages/shortages at regular custom match cost if
this happens.
Color Match Lead Time
There is a four to eight week lead time for the custom color match process from the date your
samples are received to ship out your sample for approval.
Approval
All custom match samples will have an approval sheet inside. Please make sure you return this
sheet to Versatrim prior to placing orders.
You will need to indicate the Color ID Number exactly as it appears on your approval stick.

Production Lead Time
There will be a two week lead time from the date the initial custom match order is placed until the
date it ships from our facility. All orders placed after the initial order will be a 5-10 business day
lead time from the day the order is placed until the date it ships from our factory.
High Gloss
There is an additional cost for high gloss custom matches! Please refer to the additional
charge indicated on the price sheet.
Finish
The finish you receive on your samples for approval is the same finish you will receive on your
actual trims. This finish contains Aluminum Oxide for wear resistance. All trims have this finish,
except the Wall Base and Quarter Round, which have a UV Finish. Please note: Samples are
only made for color approval. They do not represent any other quality of our trim.

NET THIRTY (30) DAYS UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED IN INVOICE
If any invoice is not paid when due, Customer agrees to pay interest on the unpaid balance at 1.5% per month. If any invoice is turned over
to an attorney for collection, Customer shall pay all costs of collection, including court costs and reasonable attorneys’ fees, and expenses.
This formal Credit Application shall constitute an “evidence of indebtedness” for such purposes under N.C.G.S. §6-21.2. If Customer returns
any goods to Versatrim, Inc. (hereinafter “Versatrim”) for any reason whatsoever, the Customer shall pay to Versatrim twenty percent (20%)
of the invoice amount for each returned item as a restocking fee.
The parties agree that all questions with respect to the construction of this Agreement and the rights and liabilities of the parties hereto shall
be determined in accordance with the provisions of the laws of the State of North Carolina. Jurisdiction and venue for the purposes of this
Agreement shall be vested in Vance County, North Carolina and the parties agree that all disputes regarding this Agreement shall be brought
in the General Court of Justice for Vance County, North Carolina and no other venue.
This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties and is binding upon the parties and their heirs, successors and assigns.
This Agreement supersedes any and all other agreements, either oral or in writing, among the parties hereto with respect to the subject matter
hereof. No change or modification of this Agreement shall be valid unless the same shall be in writing and signed by the parties.
