strong audience as they were lost in the magic and glamour created by the
designers and the models. The event was judged by established professionals such
as the photographer Rohit Dhingra.

One of the most popular events in the festival, Mridaksh is a stage for the
participants to show their personality and skills as they fight it out to be crowned
Mr and Ms Antaragni.
Fun Questionnaires were distributed among the people, and finally there were the
finals to a packed auditorium, with entertaining rounds like talent round, duet etc,
all accompanied by witty and irreverent compering.
The Mall
The Mall is the backbone of the festival, as a constant stream of fun and on-the-spot
activities keeps the crowd interested and coming back. The wacky and creative
events demanded spontaneous participation and offered loads of entertainment for
the participants and the crowd alike.
Calypso - The Discotheque
As the evening wore down the participants lets their hair down at the discotheque.
All the worries of the day sailed away as the pulsing rhythms got the feet tapping
and the body moving. Organized every evening of the festival with a spacious floor
and classy DJs, this one was a prime crowd attraction.
Model UN
Model United Nations or MUN is an academic simulation of the UN that aims to
educate participants about environment, civics, current events, effective
communication, globalization and multilateral diplomacy.
Topic in Antaragni’10- The committee being simulated in IITK MUN 2010 is:
UN Framework Convention on climate change (also called COP 16)
Implementation- In standard Model UN, students take on roles as diplomats and
participate in a simulated session of an international organization under the UN.
Participants research a country, take on roles as diplomats, investigate
international
issues, debate, deliberate, consult, and then develop solutions to world problems.
Over a series of committee sessions, delegates work together to introduce working
papers and draft resolutions.
The session ends when the committee votes on the (till then generated) draft,
generally
choosing to adopt a single document that addresses the issue.
Delegates- Experienced professionals from companies like HMEL, McKinsey, ITC,
HUL, etc.
