At Tulsa Tech we offer…
Tulsa Tech students may be able to earn college credit based on their knowledge gained at
Tech. The process of earning credit through Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) will be determined
after completion with Tech and based on certification, credential or knowledge of the subject.
At Tulsa Tech we offer a wide range of opportunities that will prepare you for success in your
career while earning credits toward your college degree. Whichever direction you choose, Tulsa
Tech provides a variety of classes to help you achieve your goals.

Tulsa Tech partners with St. Gregory’s University allowing current and former students to earn
college credit toward an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree. This associate’s degree is
the first step toward the Bachelors of Applied Sciences degree which will lead to a Masters of
Business Administration (MBA). There are no fees to transfer these credits to St. Gregory’s!
ACADEMIC CREDIT
Check with your Tulsa Tech counselor or instructor to see if you can earn a High School math,
AP art, science or computer science credit while attending one of our classes.
CLASS HOURS
To find out about a specific program & its starting date contact Admissions.
High school students will attend either morning or afternoon classes. Adults may have the
opportunity to attend morning, afternoon or all day classes.
DISABILITY SERVICES
If the applicant is on an Individual Education Plan (IEP) the admission is contingent upon the IEP
team’s determination of appropriate placement & the receipt of the IEP prior to the first date of
class. Please contact our Office of Disability Services for additional information.
WORK-BASED EXPERIENCE & PLACEMENT
Tulsa Tech students have the opportunity to participate in work-based experiences specific to
their program and in partnership with area business and industry. Students also take part in
annual job fairs and mock interviews, and have access to free, life-time assistance for all stages
of their job search, including resume development, interview practice, job search business cards
and more. For more information and assistance, contact Career Placement Services.
CAREER ADVISEMENT
Tulsa Tech provides career advisement for middle school students, high school students
and adults in the Tulsa metropolitan area. Professional staff are available to help you
research career options, employment outlook, training resources, and educational
opportunities.
STUDENT ACTIVITIES
Along with exciting classes, Tulsa Tech has six outstanding Career and Technical
Student Organizations (CTSO). CTSO provides you the opportunity to meet students
from across the state and nation, take part in leadership and team-building
activities, and compete in contests at locations across the country.

ADMISSIONS
To apply for a full-time program, complete the following steps. Applicants applying by February
5, 2016 for the 2016-17 school year will be notified by March 4, 2016. Applications will continue
to be accepted throughout the year.
PROGRAM VISITS
STEP 1: Complete and submit an APPLICATION at tulsatech.edu/apply.
STEP 2: Answer three ADMISSION INTEREST QUESTIONS at tulsatech.edu/apply. Your responses to
these questions will be used to rate your level of interest in the program.
STEP 3: Submit documentation of ACADEMIC PREPAREDNESS.
High school applicants may provide standardized reading and math test scores from your
high school or take a reading and math test at Tulsa Tech. Your High School Tulsa Tech Career
Advisor will locate and submit your standardized test scores for your application.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
The Financial Assistance Office is located at the Career Services Center @ Lemley Memorial
Campus, 3420 S. Memorial Drive.
Adult applicants must take a reading and math test at Tulsa Tech, unless you have recent
ACT/SAT scores or an associate’s degree or higher. (NOTE: The Practical Nursing program has
different testing requirements.)
Financial assistance is available through several options at Tulsa Tech. Office hours are
Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM. For the most up-to-date and complete
information on scholarships and grants please visit tulsatech.edu.
TESTING LOCATION/HOURS: The Assessment Office is located in the Career Services Center
@ Lemley Memorial Campus at 3420 S. Memorial Drive. Testing is available Monday through
Thursday from 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM and Fridays from 8:00 AM - 1:30 PM. You must bring a
government issued photo ID.
Students applying for financial assistance through grants, sponsorships, waivers, or
scholarships should begin the enrollment process well in advance of the start of classes.
These types of financial aid can take six (6) weeks or longer to process. Generally, a
high school diploma or GED are required in order to receive federal student aid.
STEP 4: Complete a PROGRAM VISIT by visiting the program you are interested in, at a campus
location where that program is offered. Please call (918) 828-5000 or email
[email protected] to schedule an appointment. Program visits are held on Thursdays
at 7:30 AM or 3:00 PM or you may attend an Open House on Tuesday, January 26, 2016.

■ Admission to Tulsa Tech is based on a point system with 100 points possible. You may
earn up to 30 points for academic preparedness, up to 50 points for the admission interest
questions, and 20 points for a program visit (minimum of 40 points from the admission
interest questions and program visit combined is required).
■ Applicants meeting the minimum scores are admitted, beginning with the highest score, until
all available slots are filled. Applicants meeting the minimum scores but not accepted into
the class due to space limitations will be put on a waiting list. If any applicant feels he/she has
been improperly denied admission, a request for alternative admissions can be made.
■ Priority points are given to applicants with a complete admission file as of each round of selection.
A complete file includes an application, admission interest questions and academic points.
