Monday, October 5, 2015
Farmingdale Public Library
10:00 am - 12:00 pm
In this two-hour workshop, you will learn how to set up digital signage
and interactive displays without breaking your budget. Get hands-on
with a variety of hardware that can be converted for your digital needs.
Next, learn techniques on how to develop content using software you
already own or are low-cost to purchase. Finally, learn more than just
how to create digital displays. To be successful and influence your
patrons’ behaviors, you need to think about what content will best
appeal to which patrons at the right time, and at their point of need.
This workshop is best for those who are comfortable with technology.
Presented by: Amanda L. Goodman, User Experience Librarian,
Darien Library (Connecticut).

Cynthia D. Clark, former Associate Dean of Libraries at
Adelphi University, died May 24. At Adelphi she oversaw
important changes in technical services staffing and workflow,
coordinated the relocation of collections to remote storage,

and managed enhancements to the webpage and discovery
systems. She previously held positions at the University at
Albany (SUNY), Princeton University, the University of
California Irvine, and The New York Public Library where she
co-led the merger of the former branch and research technical
services departments into a combined operation and led the
implementation of a new integrated library system and public
catalog. In 2001, Clark participated in the UCLA Senior
Fellows program.

easy-to-use tool Google Analytics, which is
often used to track online resources.
Participants will learn about tracking pages
and events, interpreting reports, identifying
