Jefferson PTO EVENTS
BROOKFIELD ZOO ANNUAL TRIM- A-TREE EVENT THIS SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 24th, 2013.
DIRECTIONS FOR THIS EVENT THIS SUNDAY! Families who have already signed up in the school office, on or before Tuesday, November
19th are all registered! In order to receive your tickets, you are to arrive with your entire group at the school between 9:45- 10:15 am on
Sunday, November 24th. You will be checked in by a Jefferson PTO member you will receive your free ZOO tickets and map of where the
Jefferson tree is located at the zoo! Departure from school to Brookfield Zoo will leave exactly at 10:30 am. Our tree number is 313. It is
located on the west side between the Pachyderm (elephant) House and Tropical World. Families may bring spending money for lunch or
bring your own. We will depart from the zoo at 2:30pm and arrive back at the school at 3pm. All participants are welcome to ride the buses
provided or drive themselves. But please note that parking fees at the zoo may apply to those families choosing to drive instead of taking the
Jefferson busses! Special thanks to the Jefferson PTO for coordination of this most exciting, annual, family event and to Mrs. Smolarczyk for
organizing the student creations of these ornaments! OUR TREE WILL ROCK!!!
SANTA’S SECRET SHOP WILL BE HELD ON WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 4th from 5-7P.M. at Jefferson School! This is the first Wednesday
after Thanksgiving Break, so please mark your calendars. There will be shopping, Santa, crafts, fun and food! Please plan on attending this
very special annual PTO event at Jefferson School. Volunteers are always appreciated!
JEFFERSON WINTER PROGRAM DECEMBER 9th, 2013. Please make sure you attend this wonderful night at Morton West Auditorium. All
grades K-5 will perform several songs of the season. Students have been prepared all semester for this performance on this magical night.
Students are asked to arrive at 6:00 P.M. and the show begins at 6:30 P.M. The kids are supervised by their teachers in different areas of the
building and the auditorium fills up with audience members very, very quickly. Plan to plan to arrive early to get good seats!
Congratulations to Lesly Duran Jefferson building Spelling Bee Winner! Lesly will represent Jefferson School at the District Spelling Bee
at Havlicek School on Thursday, December 12th at 1:00 P.M. The runner up will also be in attendance for this event, Benjamin O’Connor, a
Jefferson 4th grader. Congratulations to all of the Jefferson Spelling Bee finalists:

EVENTO ANNUAL PARA ADORNAL EL ARBOL EN EL ZOOLOGICO BROOKFIELD ESTE DOMINGO , 24 DE NOVIEMBRE, 2013
INFORMACION PARA EL EVENTO AL ZOOLOGICO ESTE DOMINGO Las familias que se apuntaron en la oficina de la escuela , antes del
martes , 19 de noviembre están todos registrados . Para poder recibir sus boletos para el zoológico necesita llegar a la escuela con todos los
miembros de su familia entre las 9:45am-10:15am el domingo, 24 de noviembre. Un representante del PTO le dará sus boletos gratis para el
Zoologico y un mapa donde le indicara la locación del árbol. El autobús saldrá exactamente a las 10:30 am de la escuela Jefferson para el
Zoológico Brookfield. El número de nuestro árbol es el #313. Esta localizado en el lado oeste entre el Pachyderm Hogar de los (elefantes) y
el Tropical World (Mundo Tropical). Las familias pueden traer su propio almuerzo o dinero para comer en el zoológico. La salida del
zoológico será a las 2:30pm y el autobús llegara a la escuela Jefferson a las 3pm. Los participantes podrán usar nuestro autobús escolar o
manejar su vehículo al zoológico. Por favor esté al tanto que si usted decide manejar para el zoológico se le cobrara el estacionamiento. Un
agradecimiento especial para el PTO de nuestra escuela por la coordinación anual de este maravilloso evento familiar y a la maestra de Arte
Mrs. Smolarczyk por organizar la hermosa creación de ornamentos! NUESTRO ARBOL ESTARA DE FIESTA!!!
EL TALLER SECRETO DE SANTA SERA EL MIERCOLES, 4 DE DICIEMBRE DE 5-7P.M. en la escuela Jefferson!! Este será el primer
Miercoles despues de las vacaciones de Acción de Gracias, por favor marque su calendario. Podrá hacer algunas compras, habrá diversión y
comida! Por favor planee para asistir a este evento anual del PTO en nuestra escuela Jefferson. Siempre se necesitan voluntarios.
PROGRAMA MUSICAL DE INVIERNO EL 9 DE DICIEMBRE DEL 2013. Haga planes para asistir a esta maravillosa noche en el Auditorio de
la Secundaria Morton West. Todos los grados de K-5 grado cantaran canciones de la época. Los estudiantes se han preparado todo este
semestre para esta actuación en esta mágica noche. Los estudiantes necesitan llegar a las 6:00 P.M. y el Programa comenzara a las 6:30 P.M.
Los estudiantes serán supervisados por los maestros en diferentes áreas. El auditorio se llena bastante pronto con miembros de la
audiencia. Por favor planee en llegar temprano para que pueda obtener un buen lugar.
Felicidades a nuestra ganadora de Deletreo de la escuela Jefferson Lesly Duran! Lesly representara a nuestra escuela en el Concurso de Deletreo a
nivel Distrito en la escuela Elemental Havlicek el Jueves, 12 de diciembre a la 1:00 P.M. El sucesor Benjamin O’connor finalista de cuarto grado también estará
presente en este evento. Felicidades a todos los finalistas de Deletreo de nuestra escuela Jefferson:
