Derek C. Wicks Artist of the Year Derek C. Wicks’ award-winning work is displayed in many private, corporate and public collections. The Inspiration for September Serenade “I stumbled onto the setting for this painting while on a photo shoot near Jasper, Alta.,”Wicks says. “As I knelt down to photograph the rocky river bed, I heard the bugle of a far off elk. When I returned to the studio, the memory gave me the inspiration to create September Serenade.” Honours for September Serenade Derek C.
