GATHERING
PRELUDE:
“I Wonder as I Wander”
Huron Carol
An image from First United Church:
“I think John Lennon had a good thing going with the song Imagine. I
think imagination is what we need. I like to look up at the stars and
imagine God looking back down at me and saying “Howdy Joe!” Joe
laughs, “Of course the Creator has more to do than talk to me. I imagine
the Creator is pretty busy with all the crazy in this world. He has to
worry about poor people, earthquakes and war.” Joe’s friend, Brenda,
taps him on the shoulder. “Joe, I think God would like to have a consult
with you. Your’re a smart thinkin’ guy. You matter.” Joe responds, “One
thing I know for sure, we all matter.”
