Letter from the President ...
Dear Members,
Thank you so much for such a terrific year. I had so much fun getting to know so many people and their little
ones. I appreciate everyone’s support this year and it is because of you that PHECA was awarded the Texas
Star Award from the Texas PTA’s. It is an award that you receive if you hit your state goals and increase your
membership. Thank you to everyone!
I wanted to give a special thank you to the outgoing board. It was amazing to see all that you have done
this year. You were instrumental in helping this organization run smoothly.
I’m excited to announce our new President for next year…. Anne Rosselli!! Anne has been a member of
PHECA for many years and has served on many of the board positions. She understands this group and has
so many great ideas on how to continue to improve our organization. We are so excited to have Anne!
I’m also thrilled to announce our new board for next year. See page 2 for a listing of our incoming board
members. We have a great group!
If you would like to become involved, please email us and we’d love to have you join the party committee.
I’d also like another member to help me with the new member committee.

SPOTLIGHT ON ANNE ROSSELLI... Each month, we will spotlight one member. This month we are spotlighting Anne Rosselli! Anne has been a PHECA member for 7 years and is our 2013‐2014 PHECA President! I moved to Dallas 7 years ago - the wicked hot summer of 2006. I was completely
overwhelmed with the idea but I was in my baby bliss when my husband suggested a transfer to Texas. Stay at home with Oliver or go back to teaching full time...hmmm, wasn’t a
hard choice. Because as much as I loved being a first grade teacher, I loved being a full time
mom. So we sold our house and packed up our life in Southern California to move to this
big city with a small town feel. As we settled in, I stepped out to accomplish one goal: to
make friends. After all, I had left my family and friends behind so I had to find some new
ones! As I walked the neighborhood (sweating like crazy!) I saw the sign for PHECA.
Walked into the room two days later, and met some of the most amazing friends. Friends
whom I now call family and let’s be honest in saying, it
“takes a village”.
To tell you a bit more about my brood - I’ve been married
to Bryan for almost 14 years and we have three kids:
Oliver, 7, Sophie, 5, and Caroline, 3. We are rounded out
with a dog named Indy, a guinea pig named Kinsler, and a
couple of carnival fish that will not quit! We keep busy
these days with our school and church community and
sports. All of my kids seem to love all sports which is going
to continue to be a scheduling challenge. We travel to see
our family - California, Washington and Georgia - as well
as some fun side trips. I own a photography business and
manage to find a little time to play tennis and cook.

Of course, there are never enough hours in the day to accomplish my “to-do list” but I wake
up every morning with that goal! But there’s always a ball to be thrown, homework to work
on, puddle walks, a request for homemade cookies or a quick trip to see the giraffes at the
zoo. At the end of the day, the laundry is still unfolded and those dishes are still sitting in the
dishwasher. It’s all about priorities and those tasks will be there tomorrow. As my kids grow
and are no longer babies, I hold onto each day a little tighter. And take tons of photos of
their sweet faces!
