Important source of educational institutions
These entities have specialized in staff training according to the needs of different companies. They are
an example of successful cases of public - private alliances for education, offering technical and
technological personnel to companies in different sectors. These entities have allowed national and
international companies to find much more expert staff.

Power generation with NATURAL GAS
•
71% of non-regulated customers (heavy users), successfully self-generate electricity used in their plants.
•
Barranquilla is the best place for power generation with gas. Since it is located at sea level, turbines do not
suffer from the height, ensuring that the machines do not lose their strength and efficiency, as in Bogota or
Medellin.
•
•
•
To generate power with natural gas is better for the environment, unlike coal.
Coal investments are more expensive than gas.
For consumption greater than 300,000 m3 per month (self-generation projects exceed this consumption) rate in
USD is $ 0.145 / m3.
