Are you interested in competing in
fashion revue, automotive driving,
bicycle, public speaking, computer
simulation, presenting a demonstration,
consumer judging, etc.? Did you turn
13 before January 1, 2015? Would you
like to spend four days on the LSU
campus in Baton Rouge during the
week of June 22-26? Maybe you’re not

Clover College.
All of these opportunities will be
discussed at a 4-H meeting to be held
April 7, Red River Wildlife Refuge,
150 Eagle Bend Point (off Teague
Parkway) at 6:00 pm. If you cannot
attend, call our office at 965-2326.

We have been invited to attend a very special camp this summer called “Camp Roughin’ It.” Please do not let
the name scare you away!!! NO, we do not stay in tents, NO, all the meals do not come out of a can, and YES,
there is running water at the camp with bathroom and shower facilities. This is a camp for 4 th – 8th graders
ONLY. It is a small and relaxed camp, where you will rotate through sessions focused all on outdoor related
topics. Sessions include such things as tent building, campfire building, orienteering, first-aid, canoeing and
outdoor cooking. Free time opportunities give you the chance to go fishing and just socialize with others.
“Camp Roughin’ It” will be July 20-22 at Lake Bistineau State Park, and the cost is $45. This fee will include
transportation, meals, lodging, T-shirt, and provide the supplies needed to have a great time at camp. We can
take only 10 people, so the first 10 to turn in all the paperwork and fee will have a spot. Any others that are
interested will go on a waiting list. Call the 4-H office now at 965-2326 to get a packet mailed to you!
