Vivaan 2016 is the mega-event of IIFT Kolkata which has been conceptualized as a prism of
opportunities for the students to showcase the rainbow of talent in the different fields that
MBA encompasses.
This three-day event, under its bonnet, hosts a myriad of pan-India competitions aiming for a
worldwide impact. It is held under the banners of the different clubs and cells of IIFT and panel
discussions are conducted as part of every summit by eminent personalities from the corporate
diaspora and the bureaucrats of the nation. It's an opportunity for the budding managers,
ignited innovators and inspired thinkers to prove their mettle and bask away in the deluge of
prizes.
It offers young minds the opportunity to change the world, and to get experience and skills that
matter today. It promotes creativity, innovation, peace, harmony and inclusive development.
It also focuses on providing a platform for youth leadership development. A detailed event
blueprint has been enclosed herein. We anticipate an optimistic reply and hope our initiative

The forum will have business leaders from diverse verticals and future managers from various top
B-school across the country.

The Kolkata centre now has a beautifully
landscaped and fully residential campus. It

atmosphere for the genesis of great business ideas. Moreover, the IIFT campus at Kolkata
houses a WTO cell to cater to the policy requirement for international business. This helps to
enhance the capacities of bureaucrats and industries alike on policy and advocacy issues
involving international business like WTO, FTA, and PTAs etc.

VIVAAN 2015
The first edition of Vivaan, the annual International Business Summit of Indian Institute
of Foreign Trade, Kolkata was organized with pomp and grandiosity. It was a three-day
event organized at the sprawling new campus of IIFT from 4th to 6th September 2015,
in the presence of luminaries from a variety of backgrounds. True to its name, the first
edition of the business summit marked the beginning of a new era at IIFT with great
enthusiasm from the academia. Students from renowned business schools across the
country, came together to demonstrate their mettle. Under the theme “Prism of
Opportunities: India and the world”, the business event lived-up to its motto of
providing a forum to exchange ideas on latest developments in a gamut of spheres.
