THE SEASON OF LENT 2015
THE THREE PILLARS OF LENT: FASTING, ALMSGIVING, AND PRAYER
During Lent, faithful Catholics in the United States (ages 15-60) abstain from eating meat on Ash Wednesday and on every Friday in the season. On
Ash Wednesday and Good Friday, we fast as well, limiting ourselves to one full meal and two smaller meals with nothing in-between during the course of the
day. The elderly, young children, and those whose serious health conditions prohibit such dietary restrictions are exempt from these guidelines.

Operator’s License Extensions
Educate our Military Members and Dependents
• All states do not have the same process.
• All states do not cover dependents.
• Jeopardizes your ability to travel, if stopped or
involved in an accident.
• May affect your insurance coverage which applies
only to “licensed drivers”.
Let’s Review a Few Different States:
733d Security Forces
Virginia
Virginia Code §46.2-221.2 – Driver’s license extension apply to:
• A person serving outside the Commonwealth in the armed services of the
United States.
• A spouse or dependent accompanying any such member of the armed forces.
• Any license extended under this section will be considered not expired during
the period of the licensee’s service outside of the Commonwealth while serving
in the Armed Forces of the United States.
• However, no extension shall exceed three years.
• A driver who needs this extension will be given an extension card to carry with
their driver’s license.
• A military extension packet may be requested by mail. Requests can be mailed
to DMV Driver Support, P.O. Box 27412, Richmond, VA 23269.
733d Security Forces
Florida

• Active duty members of the Armed forces.
• Dependents residing with them, (spouse, son, daughter, and step- children ).

• Can renew your FL driver's license online up to 18 months in advance, or apply
for an extension.
• Military Extension card - extends your expired FL driver's license for an
additional 90 days beyond your last day of active duty.
• The Florida DHSMV will mail you an extension card to carry with your FL driver
license and U.S. military ID.
733d Security Forces
Texas
Driver’s license extension apply to:
• Active Duty Military
• DOES NOT APPLY to military spouses or dependents
• Active duty military members may have an address outside of Texas.
• Military personnel honorably discharged receive a 90 day extension from the

733d Security Forces
Conclusion
1. Your license is a responsibility.
2. Leverage technology to keep it current (mail, phone,
computer).
3. Keep your licensing state updated with your current
address.
4. When in doubt, give us a call – we can help.
