Message from the Principal
Dear Parents,
Staff Car Park
I cannot stress enough how important it is for parents to stay out of the staff car park at
school drop off and pick up times. I have had it reported to me that there are a number of
parents who are coming in to the car park at these times. I do understand that parking in
the streets is difficult but you ARE NOT TO ENTER THE STAFF CAR PARK at drop off and
pick up times.
Parking in the staff car park at drop off and pick up times is dangerous to you and to your
children. When you park in the car park, you have to walk through the car park to enter the
school and this is not safe!
In the morning and the afternoon we have a lot of vehicle movement and walking through
the car park with children is not a safe thing to do. We know the safety of your children is
paramount to you so DO NOT PARK IN THE STAFF CAR PARK during drop off and pick up
times!
If you do need to collect your child from the school during school due to illness or injury
during school time, you are most welcome to use the staff car park BUT this is the only time
you may enter the staff car park. Also could students please obey instructions from the
School Crossing people. A number of students have disobeyed them and crossed the
crossing before given permission to cross. Please wait for the whistle to be blown before
you cross.

NAPLAN Results
September
Today the Year 3 and 5 students would have brought home their NAPLAN results. The
children sat these tests in May. They provide a snapshot of what you child could do on that
day. The teachers will use this data, in conjunction with other data they have collected, to
assist in differentiating the learning for your child. Overall the school has achieved well in
NAPLAN.
If you have any queries you wish to discuss, please do not hesitate to see your child’s
classroom teacher in the first instance or myself or Alanna Hawthorne-Smith.

This term our students have had a number of sporting opportunities – football clinics,
netball tournaments, basketball tournaments and football gala days. Our children are very
lucky to have all of these opportunities. I would like to thank the parents and staff who have
supported our children in these endeavours.

BUNDOORA FARM VISIT - PREP A & B
3/4 SCIENCEWORKS EXCURSION - MONDAY 24TH AUGUST
Excursion for the 3/4’S to Science works, all children will be required to bring play
lunch, lunch, fruit and a plastic bottle of water, please place these all in a plastic
bag labelled with their name clearly. School Uniform and comfortable shoes
must be worn.
It promises to be an action packed day!!

Có một số quý vị nhầm lẫn giữa 2 ngày:
Có một ngày các em học sinh Mặc quần áo giống nhân vật em yêu thích trong truyện hay trong phim.
Ngày khác chúng ta ăn mừng và chú trọng đến khả năng đọc viết và Toán
Chúng tôi hy vọng sẽ thấy các em mặc quần áo giống nhân vật em yêu thích trong truyện hay phim.
Cuối tuần bị thiệt hại
Vào cuối tuần vừa qua, có một thiệt hại đáng kể tại các cửa sổ trong hai phòng Âm nhạc và Nghệ thuật. Phí tổn lên
đến hơn $1000 đô. Chúng tôi đã tìm được dấu chân của những người vào sân trường chúng ta vào chiều tối thứ
Bảy. Những thông tin này đã được gởi đến cảnh sát, những người sẽ điều tra về điều này. Chúng tôi rất là thất
vọng khi thấy trường chúng ta bị thiệt hại và chúng tôi phải trích ra ngân quỹ của trường để sửa chữa những thiệt
hại này thay vì sử dụng số tiền này vào việc học cho các em học sinh. Thật đáng tiếc.
Yêu cầu của quý phụ huynh trong việc sắp xếp lớp cho năm học 2016
Một ngày gần đây, chúng tôi sẽ bắt đầu lên kế hoạch cho năm học 2016. Một phần của tiến trình này là sắp xếp lớp
cho năm học kế tiếp. Các thầy cô xem xét nhiều yếu tố khi sắp xếp các lớp như – trình độ học vấn, hạnh kiểm, giới
tính và nhóm bạn thân của các em.
Nếu quý vị có những thông tin hay đề nghị giúp cho việc sắp xếp lớp cho con em quý vị vào lớp tốt nhất, xin vui lòng
viết thư gởi đến tôi. Xin quý vị đừng yêu cầu cụ thể một giáo viên nào nhưng tôi sẽ xem xét kỹ và chọn quyết định
tốt nhất. Tất cả các lá thư của quý vị sẽ được giữ kín.
