YMCA TROUT LODGE
General Information
Located on 5200 wooded acres with a private 360-acre lake just 90 minutes south
of St. Louis, YMCA Trout Lodge is a year-round conference and retreat center. We
offer recreational and educational programs, perfect for family getaways, reunions,
adult programs, meetings & conferences, corporate and groups of all types.
Membership Required?
At YMCA Trout Lodge everyone is
welcome, whether they are a member
at another Y or not.
General Rates
YMCA Trout Lodge is an all-inclusive*
facility. Rates always include lodging,
meals and many activities. (*Some
activities do carry an extra charge,
and guests are informed of this prior
to signing up for such an activity.)
Activities, Lodging & Meals
There are dozens of activities, including
volleyball, tennis, mini-golf, zip lines,
climbing towers, swimming, canoeing,
sailboating, kayaking, pontoon tours,
horseback riding, hayrides, campfires,
fishing, art/crafts, caving, paintball, high
adventure and much more.
Lodging includes hotel-style rooms with
view of Sunnen Lake, or forest view and
lake view family cabins. Meals are buffetstyle with differing dietary options.

Adult Program Rates
Adult Program rates include lodging,
meals and all scheduled activities.
Any activities which you choose to
participate in which are not included
in the program’s list of activities (or
for Women’s Wellness Programs - on
the registration form) is at your own
expense, if any.
Adult Program Registration:
There are two different adult programs:
Those programs which are sponsored
and held at YMCA Trout Lodge, and
those sponsored by Road Scholar and
held at YMCA Trout Lodge. These adult
programs offer specific activity themes
in addition to the activities offered
on a year-round basis to Trout Lodge
guests. Unless otherwise specified,
adult programs are for men & women.
Road Scholar is a not-for-profit
organization whose mission is to
inspire adults to learn, discover and
travel. Trout Lodge has teamed up with
Road Scholar to offer adults exciting
opportunities for continued learning
and exploration of new activities, which
you will discover as you turn these
guide pages. Road Scholar reservations
must be made through Road Scholar
at 800-454-5768 or at roadscholar.org.

Bridge Break
Does the thought of a good Bridge game get the blood pumping? Then this is the
program for you, designed for players familiar with the game up to an intermediate
level, with pre-play instructions and post-play tips - features duplicate bridge. This
is the perfect getaway for you, your spouse, family or friends. You can also make
new friends while you’re here, who love the game as much as you do.

Camp Road Scholar

Choose your own adventure with “Camp Road Scholar” in the Ozarks. Here, everyone
can be a kid again - no matter what your age. Go back to camp and challenge yourself in
the lush Ozark foothills. Make new friends at the campfire, and surround yourself in the
nostalgia and excitement of a week at summer camp. Learn archery or kayaking on our
lake. Try our zip line, climbing tower, enjoy Arts & Crafts and so much more.

YMCA Trout Lodge. Begin by learning about rocks and minerals, and then head off
into some of the world’s largest granite boulders. Enjoy a campfire with s’mores,
get comfortable riding a horse in our arena before heading out on a trail ride
through the hardwood forest and much more.

Hiking, Canoeing & An Amazing Underground Adventure in the

Trout Lodge is an outdoor enthusiasts’ paradise. Experience the nature and history
of the area on a hike, by canoe or on horseback. Try your hand at archery and
riflery, visit mud cave, enjoy a local winery, take a pontoon ride on an underground

Missouri Wine Harvest Experience (Road Scholar #22173AU)
Participants will get hands-on experience with wine-making, harvest grapes and
participate in the crush while seeing firsthand the extraction of juice from the grapes.
Lectures and classes will be held about a variety of grapes, about each stage of the winemaking process and about Missouri wines and vineyard design. There will be sensory
and wineology workshops to learn how to identify the aromatics and tastes of wine. This
is for the true wine enthusiast!

Springtime in the Ozarks is an exhilarating adventure - a time to awaken the senses
to the singsong of unique birds, the pageantry of flowers and grasses popping
through the rich earth, and nightly stargazing in the black skies for constellations.

Can’t come for a week or weekend stay but looking for a fabulous day trip for
you and your friends? Our Lunch & Leisure day program allows your group
to come out for the day and experience our fun activities for only $20 per
person, which includes buffet-style lunch.
