THANK YOU UPTOWN!
The UpTown Waterloo Business Improvement Area would like to extend a
warm thank you to all businesses for once again supporting the annual LPGA
Classic at Grey Silo. We would also like to thank all participating restaurants,
volunteers and attendees of our 2nd annual Solstice Sampling event on June
21. Both sittings were very well attended, with the evening sitting selling out
well before 10 pm, and we have already received many positive comments
about the event. Again, thank you for your support in the success of these
two events!

EMAIL COMMUNICATIONS
As of July 1, 2014, Canada’s new anti-spam legislation comes into effect, which
governs the way businesses communicate with clients and customers through
email. This legislation includes strict criteria on the type of messages that can
be sent, and requires all businesses to only send information for which they
have consent to do so. Therefore, UpTown Waterloo will be updating its email
list and transitioning to a new format for sending email communications to our
valued business members. We recently emailed a contact form to all businesses
to fill out to be added to our updated mailing list. If you did not receive this
message and/or are not regularly receiving email from the BIA and would like to,
please send an email to [email protected]. We remind all businesses
to please keep us informed of changes to management and/or contact
information.
If your business regularly sends email communications to your clients or
customers, please consider how the anti-spam legislation affects you and
ensure you have consent to send information via email. More information on
this legislation is available online at fightspam.gc.ca.
