2011 Ferrol Sams Fiction Award; author of four novels, the latest of which, Sweetwater Blues, is due
for release by Mercer University Press in September, 2014.

working as journalist in Kansas City, MO; 2012 Ferrol Sams Fiction Award; praised by Clive Edgerton
and Raymond Atkins (our first guest author) for its “social satire reminiscent of Joseph Heller and
Sinclair Lewis.”

Fiction in the Southeast”; author of numerous articles, columns and collected essays.

An anthology that accesses the impact
of the “hillbilly humorist, singer, and philosopher” upon Southern music and culture; published by
Oxford University Press.

editor of the Atlanta Magazine; keynote speaker for the Annual Friends Meeting; alumnus of
LaGrange College; cancer survivor who donates all proceeds from his book to benefit Cancer
Navigators, a Rome-based nonprofit that helps cancer patients in Northwest Georgia and their loved
ones on their journey.

Else Corbett has worked at the LaGrange
Memorial Library just over a year as a Library
Assistant. Else works at the circulation desk
checking in and out books. She enjoys
meeting the patrons and helping them find
the books they need. In her spare time she
is fond of cooking, baking, and needlework.
Else encourages patrons to join the Friends.
