Trip to Fort Meigs
By: Jared Bare
Last Wednesday Mr. Miller took his American Conflicts class on a
field trip to Fort Meigs in Perrysburg, Ohio. The class is based around all the
wars America has participated in, so it was fitting to visit a battlefield right in
our backyard. The trip started with a quick drive to the fort, and then the fun
began. A tour guide led the group of around 30 to various locations in the
fort. The main stops included blockhouses which were around the perimeter
and served as posts for guards. Fort Meigs was originally built in 1813 and
was never surrendered to the British. The construction took only three
months and that is impressive for that time period. When it was reconstructed in the 70’s, it took almost three years. The only original part of the fort that
remains are the “traverses”, or mounds, that served as a form of protection
from cannon balls inside the fort. There is also a museum that features all
kinds of artifacts found at the site that were found during the excavation. The
class had a great time and really enjoyed McDonald’s on the way home!

The Tigers didn’t look back from there, winning 62-32. Jordan Smith

thing to do with Jordan is to have a thumb war, Jordan said

Logan Foster
By:Kam Pohlman
This 5’1 junior lass is none other than Logan
Foster. This green-eyed country girl loves her country
music, Friday night football games, and beautiful sunsets.
She says her perfect first date would be a candlelight
dinner somewhere classy, then going to the zoo to gaze at
all the wonderful animals. She says her perfect man
should be pretty darn cute, caring, romantic, sweet, muscular, sing karaoke, ride gallantly on noble steeds, and
wear snakeskin cowboy boots. So guys, if you think you
qualify, don’t be shy, just say hi!
