It’s a bird, it’s a plane…it’s Bonny Doon!
3L Bonny Doon Le Cigare Volant 2003
In France, what we know as a UFO, they call a “Cigare Volant,” or flying cigar. In the
fields of Châteauneuf du Pape, there is a law on the books forbidding any such object
to land in their vineyards. Bonny Doon Vineyard’s flagship red wine is made in the style
of wines made in this region, and the name is the winemaker’s own tribute to that law.
This blend is dominated by Syrah and Mourvedre. The densest of recent vintages,
this wine boasts a meaty musculature that proves a solid framework for the spice and
peppery ornamentation.
VALUE: $140 Donated by Bonny Doon Vineyard 26

3-pack 750mL Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2004, in a signed wooden box
Yielding 95 points by James Laube, “Smooth plush and concentrated. A multidimensional
expression of Cabernet, with layers of currant, blackberry, plum and spice. Suppletextured, this keeps a focus on the fruit and is supported by firm, ripe tannins. Yet fruit
glides through on the finish. Best from 2008–2014.”

One-of-a-kind Burton Morris
Take home the original artwork that inspired this year’s Carnivale du Vin
theme, the only one of it’s kind and sure to become a true art collector’s
treasure. A feat of medieval proportions, world renowned artist Burton
Morris created this piece especially for the Emeril Lagasse Foundation.
Artist Burton Morris builds on the tradition of Pop Art masters of the
1960’s-70’s, by portraying everyday ideas and objects and transforming
popular culture icons into thought provoking works of fine art. His
distinctive style is characterized by radiant black outlines and vivid
colors that emit energy and optimism in all of his artwork.
Morris first gained national attention in the mid-1990’s when his
artwork was chosen to hang on the set of the NBC hit television series
“Friends.” Over the years, his artwork has been selected for the 76th
Annual Academy Awards, the Paris World Cup Soccer Games, the 38th
Montreux Jazz Festival, the 2004 Summer Olympic Games and the
2006 Major League Baseball All Star Game. He has created signature
artwork for Absolut Vodka, H.J. Heinz Corporation, AT&T and Perrier,
among many others. In addition, his artwork has helped to raise millions
of dollars for charities worldwide.
Acrylic on canvas, the piece is framed and matted and ready to add
to your collection.
