HERE’S HOW WE HELP
Through a variety of creative rehabilitation and treatment services,
IKRON helps its clients to achieve greater independence and a better
quality of life.
Individuals are referred to IKRON through local agencies, hospitals,
therapists and self-referrals. Initial assessment of the abilities and needs of
each person entering the program is conducted. Services are offered in
individual and group setting, placing emphasis on each person’s need and
ability. Transportation, breakfast, lunch and snacks are provided to assist
with transition before employment and financial independence are
achieved.
Every day, up to 60 clients participate in activities. Hands-on training in
human services, data entry, medical billing, Microsoft Word and Excel, as
well as in food services, maintenance, or consumer-operated businesses are
available to enhance clients skills and prepare them for jobs. Once
successfully placed into jobs, follow along services are provided to
facilitate job maintenance and transition toward independently living in the
community.
These services and programs that have their roots in the milieu therapy set
up by the agency’s founders, along with the highly trained and caring staff,
offer a unique environment for quality rehabilitation of those served here.
