We know the best ideas come from the people who live and
breathe sailing. That’s why we rely on our community of
professional ocean racers and world-class dinghy sailors to
test MUSTO clothing to the extreme. They put our kit through
its paces on the world’s toughest races, like the Volvo Ocean
Race, and in the planet’s most hostile environments, from the
Doldrums to the Southern Ocean. They test and improve it
before you can buy it. We adjust everything from the way we
stitch on abrasion resistance to adjusting the length of fabric
by just a centimetre. All of our GORE-TEX® garments have been

To bring you the ultimate sailing gear, having the latest
fabric technology and design is crucial. So we invest in

To do this, we have partnered with experts.
Since 1994, we have worked in partnership with W. L .
Gore – like-minded innovators and the manufacturers of
the ultimate waterproof fabrics. Together we have pushed
the boundaries of performance and created new fabrics,
including the GORE-TEX® Pro membrane, that are tough
enough to withstand even the Southern Ocean.
To create the ultimate marine footwear we partnered with
Clarks, the British shoe company with over 200 years of
expertise in footwear innovation and comfort. We have
collaborated to bring you ultra-grip, self-draining and
anti-odour sail racing and deck shoes.

Our Brand Ambassadors are professionals dedicated to
sailing. They give us honest feedback on our products and

with Volvo Ocean Race sailors Ian Walker, Charlie Enright
and Mark Towill, dinghy champion Richard Mason, Vendee
Globe record holder and two-time IMOCA World Champion

OUR TEAMS
We also have the privilege of working with entire teams so our
clothing gets tested in every role on the boat. We worked with
Volvo Ocean Teams Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing, Team Vestas
Wind, Dongfeng Racing Team and Team Alvimedica. We’ve
supplied kit to team Phaedo who can’t stop breaking records.
In the Transat Jacques Vabre we partnered with the skippers
of Banque Populaire VIII (Armel Le Cléac’h), PRB (Vincent
Riou, winner of Jacques Vabre IMOCA class 2015), Maître
CoQ (Jérémie Beyou) and Macif (Pascal Bidégorry winner
of Jacques Vabre Ultime class). Plus, Franci Joyon sailing
IDEC, a giant multihull, who holds a single handed round-theworld record tests our kit. Our dinghy kit is thoroughly tested
inshore by the successful Pinnell and Bax race team.
