Dear Friend of the Warren Community,
These three phrases aptly paint a picture of one of Ohio's most tradition-rich high
school football programs.
From the original Warren G. Harding High School ... to the emergence of Warren Western
Reserve High School... to the current consolidated Harding High, prep football has been a
source of pride for decades in our community.
There have been State Championships!... There have been All-Ohioans!... There have been
countless student-athletes who have gone on to stardom at major universities!...AND there
have been more than two dozen former Warrenites who have reached the highest level of
football by wearing the colors of National Football League teams -- including Pro Football Hall
of Famer Paul Warfield, one of only 27 from Ohio to be so honored, and the only athlete from
the Mahoning Valley to be inducted into a major sports hall of fame!
Not many towns the size of Warren can boast producing that many professional football
players -- and to celebrate this illustrious heritage, the Warren Gridiron Club is honoring those
players who have reached the NFL with the ”NFL LEGENDS OF WARREN, OHIO REUNION &
CELEBRITY GOLF OUTING” September 25th – 26th at Trumbull Country Club.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Warren Harding football program to continue to
provide certified tutors for study tables, scholarships, up-graded weight room equipment,
equipment reconditioning, football camps, meals, and additional SAT/ACT test fees.
So please, help this storied legacy live on by joining us on Sunday for the Legends Celebration dinner where you will be able to enjoy meeting and interacting with our honorees... and
join us as the exciting festivities continue on Monday with the Legends/Celebrity Golf Outing,
post -round lunch, and the golf awards ceremony. Indeed, it takes community involvement to maintain high-quality athletic programs -- and we
can't thank you enough in advance for your consideration and support for what will be the
2016 highlight of the Warren community!

The Warren Western Reserve Raiders,
when the district was forced to close

because of the loss of tax revenue due
to the economic downturn of the city.
