The concept behind the Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. Restaurant comes
from the characters of the film Forrest Gump. Forrest and his best friend Bubba start
their own Louisiana shrimp restaurant leading to the idea of starting the first Bubba
Gump Shrimp Co. Restaurant in California in 1996. Good quality food and service
at a reasonable price are the secrets to Bubba Gump’s success. This small, friendly
and casual seafood restaurant chain is now running in 22 branches in the USA and
12 in Asia and Mexico. Apart from the obvious shrimp, specialities include Dixie
style baby back ribs and hand-shaken margarita cocktails.
