Dr. William Bass, Founder of the BODY FARM
Dr. William Bass is considered one of the nation’s
foremost forensic anthropologists. The Forensic
Anthropology Facility, also known as the BODY FARM,
has contributed invaluable information to the field of
forensic anthropology by establishing a research
framework for time since death. Dr. Bass is the
founder of the University of Tennessee’s Forensic
Anthropology Facility and professor emeritus of anthropology.
He retired in 1998; but continues to publish a large amount of academic research,
and can often be seen in the UT department of anthropology on campus. Boasting
a career spanning half a century, Dr. Bass is truly a living legend in the world of
anthropology, and based on his lectures, he shows no signs of stopping any time
soon.

Tom Patire, New Jersey State Tactics Instructor

develop and implement a course for Emergency Medical Professionals called EMT-SAFE , which is
based on liability conscious control, restraint and escape techniques. Tom has numerous defensive
tactical certifications both national and international and has appeared on many TV shows including

and has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, and USA Today.
