Canadian families.
Throughout this journal we will tell you
about family life in Canada and the people of
Canada.
We went on many trips throughout
Nova Scotia and had many new experiences
while in Canada.
The weather did not always
cooperate but we got to experience “warm
winter days”, snow days and rain!
May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields and,
Until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

food was quite different than in Brazil.
We
observed a new culture and way of living
compared to Brazil life.
English is now much
easier to speak and understand. We will always

So Let’s Ski or Snowboard
This was the one of the most wanted days
by all the students, we were going to Ski
Wentworth, and there we could choose to ski or
snowboard.
We had lessons by the Ski Wentworth
that had to see the doctor but they are doing
great now and still had fun!!

CANADIAN FOOD
New experiences for us to taste!
The food here is not very different than in
Brazil but there are new things for me here like
waffles and the pancakes that are here are
smaller and for me, better than in Brazil. They
eat more things on breakfast here and chocolate
too! It is very strange because we do not eat
chocolate on breakfast or too much food. But I
liked it very much. One thing that I noticed too,
is they eat “Kraft Dinner”. This is very delicious.
It is like “Miogo”. Actually, I like both foods. It is
not very different.

TJHS DANCE
Having fun with Truro Junior High Students!
We went to the dance Tuesday
and we danced a lot. We were
very shy in the beginning but
after Ingrid and Grazy started
dancing, we had a lot of fun.
We didn’t have this in Brazil
that’s why we were very shy.
Every song that had there, we
knew it. But one song that we
wanted was “oh, if I catch you”,
a Brazilian song, but they
didn’t play. Everybody knew a
lot of people at the dance and
we knew until today, I think
forever. It was very difficult
for us but after, everybody
danced a lot.
YOGA
Truro Sport Hall of Fame
YOGA
• We saw many Truro Athletes in the sport
hall of fame. They had old jerseys from
hockey teams and lots of photos.
One day we went down town to
exercise our bodies. Some of us didn’t like
the yoga, because it was really difficult. It

Walk through Victoria Park
LOREM IPSUM
Victoria Park is a trail that goes from the
school (TJHS) to downtown. It a really cold walk
so if you want to go to Victoria Park you should
wear warm clothes. Its a beautiful place where
you can see waterfalls and take some pictures.
In the summer time, it must be even prettier as
the waterfalls won’t be frozen and the sun will
be shinning.
Police Station and a visit with
Constable Keddy.
After we walked too much we arrived in the
police station of Truro. The police officer talked
to us and show us the pictures of their best
dogs. After we entered into the office’s police
station and we met the secretary and we
entered in the jail and we left the station.
Shubenacadie Wildlife Park on
Groundhog’s Day
The Wildlife Park was very cool. We saw a
lot of animals. The Wildlife Park is the most
beautiful park. There are foxes, wolves, deer,
moose... This park is awesome!!!

The third floor was about animals and the
human skeleton.
The Discovery Center was one of our
favorite places we visited! We all had a lot of
fun.
Mooseheads Hockey Game
The first hockey game that we went to was
in a small stadium and was funny, we had a
great time. The second hockey game was
better than the first, it was in Halifax. We were
very noisy and sometimes we can saw us in the
tv. It was very exciting. The Mooseheads won
the game 5-3.

FRIDAY FUN DAY
OUR LAST FULL DAY
Nova Scotia Agricultural College
Tour
The Nova Scotia Agricultural College is the
University/College in Truro. It mainly educates
students in animal agriculture and plant
sciences. We saw the barns full of sheep,
lambs, calves and cows. We also saw the 2nd
largest rock garden in North America and the
Alumni gardens as well. They were all covered
in snow but very nice. Then we built a snow
man in the Alumni Gardens.
Masstown Market and the
Lighthouse
We had lunch at a popular market in the
country. It was yummy. We did a bit of Nova
Weekends!
Some of us realized that
the canadian weekends are
very exciting because some
people say in house playing
inside or outside and
others go out with their
family, to tourism places
or to shopping malls, we
had snow in almost all the
weekends.
Hamilton’s Sleigh Rides!
We picked the warmest day of the vacation
Scotia souvenier shopping and went on a tour
for the sleigh ride and it was great!!! The two
