Sharing Cultures :
a journey towards a better
understanding of our identities.
Stage 7: Food
traditional food and drinks
Food sustains life, yet it is so much more
than something we need to nourish our
bodies. Food at its essence is love, life
and the heart of society. Food brings
people together. It is the shared flavours of
friendship and community.
We like being with others enjoying the
tastes and textures of food. Often through
these shared experiences, memories exist
and relationships thrive

Polish cuisine is a mixture of
Eastern Europian and German
culinary traditions, with some
Russian, Italian, and Turkish
influence due to historical
reasons.It is rich in meat,
especially beef, chicken and pork,
Polish cuisine is hearty and uses
a lot of cream and eggs.
The traditional cuisine generally is
demanding in preparation, and
Poles allow themselves a
generous amount of time to
prepare and enjoy their festive
meals

cuisine, which is rich and savory, not
particularly spicy-hot, with abundant
use of vegetables Turkish cuisine
varies across the country. The

many elements of Ottoman cuisine,
with a lighter use of spices, a
preference for rice over burghul, and
a wider use of seafoods.
The cuisine of the Black Sea region
uses fish extensively, especially the
Black Sea anchovy, has been
influenced by Balkan and Slavic
cuisine, and includes maize dishes.
The cuisine of the southeast is
famous for its kebap, mezes and

based on the long history of the
country, as well as on the longlasting migrations of the tribes.

some dishes which cannot be
called national but which are
