INTRODUCTION
Site Director, KGS was requested by Chemical Engineering
Department, NITK Surathkal to Participate in Industrial
Exhibition of International Conference on Advances in
Chemical Engineering (ICACE-2015). Public Awareness
programme was conducted as part of the Exhibition. About
300 visitors comprising students, researchers and faculty
members attended the programme.
Programme conducted on behalf of PAC by

Karnataka Regional Engineering College
(KREC), Surathkal - is one of the institutes of
national importance in India funded by
Ministry of HRD, Government of India. Since
its inception in the year 1960, the College
established itself as a premier institution
engaged in imparting good quality technical
education involving good teaching-learning
practices
and
sound
research
& development activities, as well as testing
& consultancy services
ABOUT DEPARTMENT
The
Department
of
Chemical
Engineering of the institute was
started in the year 1965. U.G.
program in Chem.Engg., P.G.
programs
with
specializations
(Chemical Plant Design, Industrial
Pollution Control and Industrial
Biotechnology),
M.Tech
(Research) and Ph.D. programs are
offered.
The Department also offers product testing and industrial
consultancy. After completing 50 glorious years in imparting good
quality Chem. Engg. Education, ICACE-2015 is being organized
between to commemorate this milestone.
