The Victaulic Vortex™ System is a Hybrid Fire Protection Technology for fire
suppression in Data Centers, Mission Critical Facilities & Machinery Spaces
Vortex™ is the latest technology in Water Mist fire suppression which combines
the benefits of water and nitrogen as one homogeneous mix using extremely

We will discuss the Vortex™ technology and how it creates a homogeneous suspension of water droplets (<10μm) in nitrogen while maintaining a high momentum and low operating pressures which has vastly superior fire suppression capabilities surpassing all known water or inert gas systems. Tests have demonstrated that the nitrogen and water complement each other allowing different fire extinguishment characteristics dependent on fire size and fuel type. The Vortex™ system has successfully extinguished all fire scenarios specified in both water mist and clean agent standards and, even more noteworthy, has shown suppression capabilities scalable to large room sizes regardless of fire size.
