The West Norriton Township Parks and Recreation Department is a professionally operated, multifaceted

through recreation while maintaining a safe, clean environment. Our department fosters the responsibility
for developing, supporting, and administering constructive recreational activities and facilities that will
provide a richer community life for the residents of our township.
A MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR
Dear Members of the West Norriton Township Community,
We hope everyone enjoyed their spring and summer and had an opportunity to get outside and enjoy our Parks
and playgrounds or take part in a township community event or program! We are proud to be a part of your
experiences and always look forward to offering more opportunities for you, your friends, and family to live a
longer and healthier life in our beautiful community! As our department turns the page towards the upcoming fall
and winter seasons, we would like to take a moment and thank everyone who participated in our programming
and events this spring and summer. A special thank you also goes out to all of our event volunteers, our summer
camp staff and of course our Recreation committee. 2014 has been a great year thus far with many new additions
and changes for us to be proud of! We have made some major improvements to our parks system many of which
will be featured in the next edition of our newsletter.
As summer winds down and we look forward to the beginning of fall, there are several upcoming events and activities
you will want to check out such as Family Movie Night, our annual Halloween parade and party and all of the other
programing and trips we have to offer! Please continue to read through this newsletter for more information.
We look forward to seeing you out in the community, participating in one of our free community events, or registering
for any of our programs. If you’d like to keep up to date on the Township’s upcoming community events and
programs, “Like Us” on Facebook under West Norriton Township! Wishing you a safe and happy remainder of 2014!
Sincerely,
