threesixty work with business professionals to help
them achieve their business goals.
That can be as simple as helping them protect their
business by ensuring they meet regulatory
requirements, broader development support for
businesses seeking growth, or assisting and advising
those business owners looking to realise the value in
their business.
We usually work with clients over a number of years,
adapting and flexing our service to suit the
development and progress of each client.
Our clients are typically financial advisers and
financial planners.

Introduction
Hello everyone,
2016’s events have a number of themes running through them, all focused
on your clients and communicating with them. We will provide you with
more client facing literature and guides to rebrand as your own, as part of
these seminars.
As well as an update on the technical aspects of pension and retirement
planning in February, we’ll be running a broader session in April on the issues
older people face which you can help them plan for, bringing together a
number of issues which we’ve touched on over the years. This is followed up
by a more technical seminar on tax, trusts and estate planning in June.
In March we’ll be running seminars on the value of advice, and providing
you with literature and information to help communicate this to clients and
prospects. We focus on clients who are business owners and their needs in
September.
We finish 2016 with sessions on how to communicate the concept of risk
in its various forms, and round the year off with a session going back to
basics with risk management, showing you how to reduce paperwork and
bureaucracy whilst remaining compliant.
The discussion forums we ran in 2015 received lots of positive feedback,
we will be continuing with these in 2016 and look forward to visiting more
locations to help firms build connections and share thoughts and ideas.
To wrap up, you will also find in this programme some of our supplementary
workshops. These include supervisor training courses for both new and
experienced supervisors, and soft skills training.
It’s a packed programme, so please book as early as possible by logging into
the events section of our website. I look forward to seeing you throughout
the year.
Kind regards
Russell Facer
Compliance Director

Special dietary requirements
Whilst we aim to meet the special dietary requirements of our clients, we are dependent on individual
event venues to supply appropriate items, and therefore cannot always guarantee to do so. If you have a
specific dietary requirement we will check with the venue to ascertain whether your requirements can be
accommodated. Please note: Increasingly, venues are levying significant charges for specialist dietary options,
particularly those which are faith based, and regrettably, it may in certain circumstances be necessary to pass
these charges back to you at our discretion.
Regional events
As in previous years, our events have been designed in response to client
feedback. As always during the year legislation and political changes
may occur, which may mean changes in the advised agendas. For the
most up to date agendas please refer to the training and events section
of the threesixty website.
Agendas are fixed 6 weeks prior to the start of each round of events.

Additional workshops
These events are designed to grow your skills and improve interactions, both
internally within the work-place and between you and your clients.
In this post RDR world, many of our clients are keen to enhance their personal
interaction skills and enhance their ability to influence others. The events listed
within this section are those which we are repeating due to client demand, however
it is our intention to arrange more ‘personal development workshops’ later in the
year.
These sessions are facilitated by experts in their field, the cost of which reflects the
need to charge delegates for attendance.
Supervisor courses
First time supervisor courses
Any T&C scheme is only as good as its supervisors. The FCA places great importance
on the role of a supervisor, which is not surprising given the vital role that supervisors
perform in developing, assessing and maintaining the competence of the advisers
that they oversee. The skilled supervisor needs to display a complex blend of talents,
combining sound technical knowledge with effective coaching, assessment, mentoring
and support skills.
The first time supervisor event is relevant to individuals who have never attended a supervisor event and/or are
fairly new to the supervisor role. The first time supervisor workshops are full day events and aim to develop and
demonstrate the key skills required by the FCA to supervise and develop staff performance and to be able to
independently assess and develop key skills and benchmark these against industry best practice.
