Take a look
at the future
of Methodist Health System
Since 1927, Methodist Health System has been dedicated to the health and well-being of
the communities of southwest Dallas. In April 2004, the Methodist Health System Board
of Directors rededicated that commitment by unanimous approval of a $256.9 million
master plan.The plan includes building two new facilities–in Midlothian and Mansfield–
Methodist Charlton Medical Center
As part of its facility expansion and renovation plan,
Methodist Charlton Medical Center’s diagnostic and
treatment areas will be expanded, adding surgical
suites and enlarging cardiac catheterization services.
In addition, Methodist Charlton will add a 72-bed
patient tower, a 144-bed shell for future expansion,
a 91,200-square-foot medical office building, and a
476-space parking garage. Methodist Charlton Medical
Center’s expansion and improvements are scheduled
to begin in the second quarter of 2005, with completion expected in the first quarter of 2008.
as well as renovating our existing campuses.
Methodist Midlothian Health Center
This new medical complex at the intersection of Highway 287 and
Walnut Grove will feature a central imaging center offering CT, open
MRI, and x-ray, as well as two professional buildings for physicians
in several specialties. Methodist looks forward to the center’s planned
opening in summer 2005 and to bringing our services closer to the
people and families of Midlothian.

Methodist Mansfield Medical Center
Located east of Highway 287 at the corner of Matlock Road and East
Broad Street in Mansfield, this $127 million general acute-care hospital
and physician office building is scheduled to open in winter 2006. The
80-bed hospital will offer a broad range of diagnostic, primary care,
and specialty services, allowing us to offer a fuller range of sophisticated
and compassionate medical care to individuals and families in and
around Mansfield, south Arlington, south Grand Prairie, Kennedale,
Venus, and Midlothian.
