Greetings;
My name is Derek Lee and I care about my projects. My design sense fuses traditional and
electronic media with energy and enthusiasm. I earned a BBA in Computer Information
Systems and Accounting and a BFA in Graphic Design and Multimedia. My education and
experience has provided opportunities for me at companies like: Time4Media, where I worked
on the Yachting, Motorboating and Saltwater Sportsman publications and websites, David
Yurman, where I obtained a consultant position in the visual department and Norma Kamali,
where I worked on the BARXV.com website. I also worked on promotional materials for David
Yurman’s holiday party and Norma Kamali’s summer clothing line party. I enjoy interacting with
clients and making ideas happen.
In a world where everything is mass produced and deadline driven, when was the last time you
took the time to form relationships with the people you work with? My design process is about
communication and interaction. Let’s get excited about a new project and tackle it head on, not
focusing on obstacles but on the end result and working back. I seek to keep the people I work
with stimulated and interested in collaborating towards creating something spectacular. My
philosophy towards design is like my cooking, don’t rush, take time and be highly critical.
