EGR VALVE CARBON FILTER GASKETS
Helps prevent rough idle, hesitation, surging and possible stalling, pinging, and malfunctioning indicator lamps (MIL) to be set.
● Stop replacing expensive EGR valves when a low cost filter will do.
● EGR filters keep dirt and debris from entering the EVR and
vacuum chamber.
● EGR valve is prone to carbon buildup, which causes pintle to stick.
● Filter gasket catches carbon before it enters EGR valve.
● Clogged or restricted filters restrict atmospheric air bleed
causing improper valve function.
● Filter should be replaced every 5,000 to 10,000 miles.
● This problem solving filter gasket takes the place of the
original equipment gasket.
● Corrects and repairs an original equipment problem.
● Screens are made from heat resistant stainless steel.

● Lets you test today's cars higher pressure cooling systems and pressure caps up to 30 pounds.
● Cap testing pressure ranges of 17-19 lbs., and 28-30 lbs. Large color coded dial
makes it easy to accurately test these higher pressure caps and systems.
● The head also includes a pressure release bar that when turned clockwise,
releases pressure buildup before removing the head from the neck.
● Although this tester replaces the ST 255 (12255), all Stant pressure cap and cooling
system adapters can be used on either tester. Stant even created a conversion kit,
(270 1,12701) that allows you to convert your 255 (12255) to a ST270 (12270).
● Comes in it's own plastic carrying case with one 255 9 (12559) spacer to drop in 1” deep filler
necks for testing, one 255 2 (12552) cap adapter to check 3/4” deep caps, and a complete easy
to use instruction manual including cooling system and pressure cap testing Instructions as

TECH TALK – how it works
The Smart VOV (variable orifice valve) uses system pressure and refrigerant flow to move a metering piston relative to a fixed opening in the sleeve. The piston
movement is resisted by an attached spring. When idling at high ambient temperatures, the piston shifts to a smaller metering area similar to a TXV. This compensates for the reduced compressor output and increases the cooling performance. The Smart VOV also has a unique re-open feature which reduces compressor pressure for severe idle conditions. At highway speeds, the Smart VOV operates on a large orifice. The net result is better performance than a TXV without
the complexity or reliability concerns. Unlike a TXV, which has constantly moving parts and small internal clearances, the Smart VOV is stationary during most
operating conditions and has large internal clearances. It’s low friction floating design insures smooth operation and extremely long life.

● It is a self-contained “drop-in” replacement for fixed orifice tubes; it creates colder
discharge air temperatures by automatically reducing the orifice area at low

What type of oil is Estercool™?
Estercool™ Oil is an all natural Ester oil with additives that will enhance its lubricating ability and improve system
performance. An oil that has proven itself in test after test.
Can Estercool™ Oil be used in an R12 system?
Yes you can use Estercool™ Oil in any R12 mobile air conditioning system or when retrofitting to R134a.
Does all the mineral oil have to be removed when retrofitting to R134a?
No, remove as much mineral oil as possible using A/C Flush Solvent. Any mineral oil remaining in the system is fully
compatible with Estercool™ Oil.
Can Estercool™ Oil be used in systems containing PAG, mineral or paraffin oil?
Yes, Estercool™ can be used in any R12 or R134a mobile A/C system. If a system contains PAG, mineral, or paraffin oil
and needs additional oil, Estercool™ can be added to the system. Estercool™ Oil will mix with any mobile A/C oil including
mineral, paraffin or PAG oil. Not having the right oil or too much inventory is not a problem when Estercool™ Oil is used.

Why should Estercool™ Oil be used in an R12 system?
