FOREWORD
Dear Teachers,
‘VIJAYABHERI’ the unique learning enhancement programme of Malappuram District Panchayath is to
give timely and effective support to our Low Proficient Learners at the Primary school level.This book includes
some activities for the VIIth standard students who are unable to achieve in English learning at the expected level.
All the activities are designed to develop the basic skills listening, speaking, reading and writing English in a simple
way.
You are requested to support each student throughout the activities. You are expected to edit their products wherever necessary. Take enough time to complete the activities.

ACTIVITY -1
a)
Teacher divides children into five groups by giving some words as lots.
PEN , CLASS , PENCIL , BAG , BOOK
* Children make their own group according to the word they got.
* Teacher asks the groups to make a word beginning with the last letter of the word in the lot
Eg:- PEN ----- NET
* Teacher asks them to write another word using the last letter of the word they got.
Eg:- NET ----- TREE
* Let each group makes five new words like this.
Eg:- PEN, NET, TREE , EGG, GIRL, LEG
* Each group reads the words loudly.Teacher writes them on the BB.
* Teacher gives the following activity to the groups.
b) There are some mistakes in these sentences , Circle them.

. mr. anand is a doctor.

eg:-. a mir likes to play cricket ?
Teacher writes the above sentences on the BB. Each of the group members circle the mistakes.
Teacher calls one member from a group and asks him to circle the mistake of the first sentence on the BB.
A student from the second group finds out the mistakes of the second sentence. The process continues.

c) Rewrite each of the sentences using the correct punctuation marks. One has been done for you.

a) Teacher gives some action words as lots.

- Teacher reads it aloud.
- Let the children read it individually.
- Those who can’t read the sentences can read the familiar words.
- Teacher calls a boy and introduces him for whole class using the same sentence pattern.
( Teacher should be careful the changes related with name, place, job etc...)

a) Teacher prepares word cards.
