Meeting Change
Over a year of unsettling uncertainty, and ceaseless effort, has passed . . . Maybe,
deserving young scholars can now settle for a brighter future. Turmoil – natural and
man-made – could not shatter our innate individual, social, and national commitment
to service and achievement.
We Trinitians worked together this difficult period to make it eventually fruitful. Our
collaboration with different service providers of society has been commendable – be
it post-quake assistance or regular social work such as organizing a rather big blood
donation campaign in the College premises.
During this time, the Nepalese educational pathway too went through many twists
and turns; it is now curving towards a terrain which is yet to be truly appreciated
. . . With our society grappling with the massive shift in the national high school
education evaluation system, alongside its implications for the secondary and tertiary
levels, the commonly known metaphor of the SLC being an iron gate is somewhat out
of place.
Factsheet
Trinity, as a highly responsible socio-educational entity, is working hard to
comprehend these scholastic changes, and their implications, to benefit its students.
We are committed to superlative academic delivery that prepares students for success
in a competitive future. Simultaneously, we are doing our best to adapt to the new
system of national education and its assessment criteria.
Academically, despite the ups and downs of the months gone by along with the
major ongoing alterations in the established SLC system, Trinity has been doing
consistently well in meeting its objectives. The credit for this goes to hard working
Trinity students and the Trinity community as a whole – managers, faculty, staff,
parents, and guardians.
The College continues to sustain the positive pursuits of sincere students by an
outstanding scholarship scheme, most effective academic delivery, and a studentcentred support system that also includes extra-tutorials, personalized guidance, and
relevant career counseling.
In reality, gearing up to tackle ongoing changes in fields that evidently affect our
students is the corner-stone of our College policy. Efforts are made to address all
pertinent issues and to get prepared for contingencies. Trinity will continue to help
its current or prospective students, and thereby society at large, to the best of its
abilities.

Science & Technology
Innovation for Life
Trinity
encourages its students explore science & technology. We appreciate
invention & discovery. The College offers many opportunities for taking part in
SciTech festivals, expos, and exhibitions outside the campus throughout the year.
Participating Trinitians, individuals or teams, often win prestigious prizes and earn
top commendation. We also organize SciTech events inside our campus. Trinity’s
Inter-College SciTech Exhibition-cum-Competitions, in particular, have been greatly
influencing students generally, especially those interested in applied science. Energy,
environmental protection, innovative technology, public health, or transport &
communication are our popular themes. Budding scientists from reputed colleges of
Kathmandu contribute original items and the best exhibits win prizes. In addition,
these fairs prove to be fine learning and motivating experiences for the participants,
other students, and visitors at large. Our events also disseminate the basics of science
and motivate scientific inquiry drawing large numbers of visitors.

Management
Understanding Management
Trinity’s
management activities reflect its inter-disciplinary approach blending
management and scitech to cope with rapid technological change. The College
believes in developing its students’ managerial willpower and competence alongside
entrepreneurial and leadership skills. We give ample field exposure and relevant
interaction to perfect skills and develop insight. Trinitians benefit from their workstudies during hotel management tours. We also promote field visits and encourage
students to take part in competitions enabling them to master management in practice.
By all accounts, Trinity Intra-College Management Expos are distinctive events.
The explicit purpose of these Expos is to enable students to transform managerial
thinking into actual projects. Invariably, Trinity students confidently exhibit wellmade, relevant projects and do all the explaining of the models constructed in a
most fluent and persuasive manner. Popular themes include banking, cooperatives,
finance, and development. We value learning by doing.

Trinity Traditions
Industry & Innovation
Key annual college events that unite the Trinity Family and give the College an incomparable touch are central to our legacy of excellence. Such events orient our students
towards meeting expectations and develop personalities that are distinct, engaging, and positive. This feature of the College is the extra edge that sustains our students
wherever they study or work. That is why those who join us soon appreciate why being at Trinity is so special and so helpful.
Orientation Programmes
Trinity
Orientation
Programmes
– initiation events that familiarize
students with their peers, faculty &
staff members of the College – are
conducted before the commencement
of each academic session for HSEB +2,
Cambridge International A Levels &
First Year students of undergraduate
programmes (BSc CSIT, BBS & BA).
During these key events held coursewise, students become familiar with
the approach of the College towards
their education, what it would deliver
towards that end, and an outline of
what’s expected. The primary purpose
is to help new students understand the
nature of the College, the educational
opportunities available to them,
institutional teaching-learning styles,
the values and functions of the College
community, and the central objective
of the academic endeavour. During the
orientation programme, students are
also informed about all services and
facilities including clubs and societies
offered by the College as well as
students’ rights and responsibilities.
July 5 & 16, 2015
Essentially, the programmes initiate
new students into the academic,
cultural, and social ethos of Trinity and
develop a sense of belonging to the
Trinity family.
Welcome Programme
August 28, 2015
Welcome programmes at Trinity are organized by senior students for their newly-
inducted juniors. Senior students candidly exchange their experience at the College
and exhibit their talent in diverse ways such as speeches, songs, instrumental music,
dance, drama, and even humorous caricature. This enables the newcomers to feel
even more at home in the still-new College for them and thereby become an integral
part of the student community. These programmes are an extremely refreshing
experience for all concerned – students, teachers, staff members – due to the enjoyable
recreational activities and memorable hospitality offered by the College at select
venues. Such programmes greatly unify the Trinity Family giving it a cherished
distinctiveness!

Career Counseling Symposium
January 4, 2016
Our Symposium helps individual students figure out who they are and what they
want out of their education, career, and life. Having a career choice in mind steers
a student’s search for the right college majors, which, in turn, guides the choice of
the right college. It’s been seen that career-focused students are confident, motivated
to persist, and earn their degrees on time. Counseling related to this Symposium
covers further studies options, institutional search, scholarships or grants, and career
exploration.
Organized by the Counseling department, this programme is meant for both current
students and Trinity alumni. USEF, Campus France, British Council representatives
and Medicine, SciTech, Engineering, Management professionals tell students about
further studies’ and future careers’ prospects in Nepal and abroad. All in all, Trinity’s
Career Counseling Symposium provides valuable opportunities for students.
Academic Excellence Awards
November 18, 2015 & February 26, 2016
Committed to academic excellence and all-round personal development, Trinity
invariably identifies and suitably awards its overall and subject toppers. Grade
XI & XII students who do well in the HSEB +2 Examinations are given Academic
Excellence Awards in rousing functions. Similarly, we hold biannual functions for
awarding the academic achievement of A Level students in the CIE through Academic
Excellence Awards. The Roll of Honour, updated annually, is where the names of
the top achievers are proudly and prominently displayed so that other students are
motivated to perform as well as they can and to stimulate the overall academic milieu.

Apart from informing readers that the College is a place that provides the best
education for current or prospective students, they feature interesting and useful
articles mostly written, edited, and published by our students. Our annual
newsletter Trinity News reports the participation, performance, and placements of
all Trinity students. We publish other newsletters such as SciTech & Mgmt Review.
There's also the instructive Trinity Further Studies Handbook. The magazine Infinity
is an excellent channel for student self-expression. We also have student wall

Society
Serving Others
Social service is a strong element of Trinity life. We hold that community work
and charity cultivates empathy, concern, and large-heartedness. These qualities are
essential for socially committed citizens. Clubs like Social Service Society and Youth
Red Cross Circle do social work like donating blood, setting up libraries at schools in
remote areas, sending study materials to needy students, helping impoverished slumdwellers or the ailing, and conducting sanitation programs. The College Clubs also
organize awareness programs related to traffic safety and public health. Significantly,
we have a solid tradition of supporting natural disaster victims. The Trinity Family
continues to do its best for all the affected in the recent earthquake. We have donated
over 1 million rupees to the PM’s Relief Fund, loaned our transport, and have been
taking part in relief and rehabilitation efforts nationally. Welfare activities alongside
top-notch academics define our institutional outlook.

Opt for Trinity
It was absolutely right for me to opt for Trinity as it catered
to all my interests – fondness of sports, especially cricket –
reading novels, particularly science fiction – writing poems
– helping people, something that delights me. A marvelous
ECA department with numerous clubs provides many
opportunities to students to be gainfully occupied and to serve society. Of course,
from the standpoint of academics, the proximity between Trinitians and worldclass teachers gets grand exam results, inspires students to realize themselves, and
become better than what they are in every way. Trinity scholarships do matter!

Scholarships That Shape Your Future
Unforgettable experience! That’s how I look back at Trinity – an
institution with amiable teachers, supportive educators, and
a fine community. Its scholarship helped me financially and
made me get top grades to retain it. Its scholarly environment
inspires students. The College is an excellent platform to foster academics and lifeskills. It gave me, in particular, deep knowledge and the right direction in life . . .

Focused Yet Versatile
Multitalented students love Trinity! So do the studious
whose aim is academic accomplishment . . . There is almost
everything here for your all-round success – well-equipped
labs, a well-stocked library, and perhaps the best educational
infrastructure anywhere. The environment is most conducive
to our multi-sided development; its plentiful ECA's support a student’s ambition.
Committed to social equity and student welfare, the management awarded me a
scholarship that motivated me tremendously. It totally encouraged me to maintain
my educational standards in the College and to get a further scholarship in the
entrance examination of MOE.
Ayush Mohan Bhattarai
MBBS, MOE Scholarship
Truthfully, without the Trinity Scholarship I could not have
been able to study at a good college or do higher studies in
my area of interest since I come from a middle-class family
with limited resources. Besides crucial financial assistance,
the College fostered my childhood love of Nature, helped me grow, and find my
true identity. Further, keen competition and healthy fun among peers made my
stay useful and exciting. Significantly, the pre-entrance preparation synergy classes
alongside career guidance and related opportunities and support helped me getting
a key MBBS placement. Excellence becomes a habit at Trinity!

Another Success Story!
My straightforward success story starts with the well-known
Trinity family that has been transforming the dreams of
simple students into realities! To start with, my two years
at Trinity were golden years. The College truly proffers a
cheering family environment. Yet, they’re tough taskmasters too! Chiefly, I learned
the value of patience, perseverance, and team spirit, alongside commitment to
and focus upon my central aim . . . All this was helpful in achieving what I really
wanted. Actually, it feels great being an alumnus who’s currently an up-and-coming
qualified Chartered Accountant since my story of success starts there!

Realize Your Ambitions
It is vital to identify one’s career goals early in life. My ambition
had always been to do medicine. Because of the Trinity science
faculty and their motivating scholarship I got into a medical
college. Trinity did not let me deviate from my path, and taught
me never to give up whatever the difficulty as hard work pays. Just focus on what you
want to attain. Remember that the post-SLC period is an important beginning of what
you are going to do in the future. That’s why a good college like Trinity really matters.

Good +2 Education
My family prioritizes good affordable education over other
interests. That’s why we chose Trinity. Things became easy
with their motivating scholarship. +2 education at this College
yields clear understanding and deep knowledge. That’s why
I got a full scholarship for Civil Engineering, IOE. The College built my academic
foundation for higher studies and gave me adequate exposure for professional
success. Apart from focusing on studies, the institution also let me enjoy sports,
especially football, and furthered my ambition – becoming a hydropower expert.
We learn at Trinity that the best preparation for tomorrow is doing the one’s best today.

Serene Setting
Trinity is one of the best colleges of Nepal. The salient features
of the College are definitely its peaceful study environment
reinforced by positive discipline. Classes are held punctually
and regularly throughout each term. Students are given proper
academic and personal counseling. Importantly, the participation of parents, guardians,
or even siblings is encouraged. Further, teachers prepare us competently for IOE, IOM,
and MOE entrance exams.

Encouraging Newness
The Best Academic Platform
Trinity was a magical seed of successful growth for me.
It was wonderfully enlightening to be here! The teachers
and administrators were most supportive in every way.
In particular, I am very thankful for Trinity’s unique PreEngineering Preparation Classes which helped me achieve my goal. Honestly, without
proper guidance, latest materials, and solid preparation, it would have been
impossible for me to clear the entrance exam for such a demanding course like BE
Civil (IOE, TU) that too with a full scholarship. The College is unarguably the best
academic platform – a complete package for academic excellence.
Aditya Deo
BE, Scholarship, Lalitpur Engineering College
Trinity imparts affordable quality education. Its liberal
scholarship policy is definitely a boon as it makes both
academic and family life happier for students by reducing
financial stress. We learn many things here, for instance,
students must work hard yet balance their studies and extracurricular activities,
or be bold enough to ask questions in class whenever confused. We gain much
here, for example, making excellent relationships – among peers, teachers, and staff
members. Trinity encourages all new ideas that are ethical and pragmatic. In my
case, it has hugely supported my dream of becoming a journalist.

Achieving Excellence
Trinity has a culture of excellence . . . This is clearly evident in our outstanding +2s and A Level results in 2015. Because of the
qualitative education we give, our students have been improving their performance at the national level over the years. These
trends are in keeping with our objectives and efforts. All our batches deserve praise for their excellent academic results alongside
other commendable personal or social achievements. The College is determined to do its utmost to better student achievement in
the future. We strongly believe in the academic achievement of each student; we definitely deliver the best for the least anyone
could ask!

Ideal Work Ethos
Amazing Institution!
Trinity College has been an ideal academic mentor in my life and brilliantly
bridged the gap between my schooling and further education. The College ethos
is based on the maxim that students have only two options: First, work hard;
second, work harder . . . Science is my passion and, luckily, the concepts taught
here have proved exceedingly useful in my engineering course. Our teachers
beautifully explained how, and why, the most difficult concepts are actually
combinations of simpler ones. If one understands basic concepts, probably one
can grasp almost anything in that subject.
Trinity, a well-known college, is where I chose +2 Science simply to give my
aim of becoming a top professional an actual shape. What really attracted me to
this remarkable place was its neat and tidy, professionally-run appearance – an
attribute dear to my heart as I had won many awards for neatness in school! With
my top school performance, I got admitted with honour. Scholarships adorn
talent. But, it was the superb teaching techniques of the Trinity faculty that made
me do really well academically. A word of advice: Do your best, don’t worry about
the rest!

A Glorious History
Ever since childhood, I’ve loved reading books. My fine school performance
was due this reading habit. I got admitted to Trinity – a well-managed college
for HSEB + 2 – on an encouraging full scholarship, an instrument of academic
accomplishment here. During our sessions, regular monitoring motivated me to
score well and become a better human being and a good citizen. Of special value
were the extra-preparation classes for engineering that greatly helped me get
admission. All the precious, memorable moments with teachers and friends have
made the College a grand overall experience!
Trinity, and its glorious history, fascinated me and I decided to give two critical
years of my life to this hub of academic excellence. I haven’t been disappointed in
the least! I can assure you that the College nurtures civilized behaviour, positive
discipline, a love of knowledge, and life-skills in its students. The teachers here
believe in giving their best to the students and getting the best out of them. Along
with academic proficiency, it ensures that students become competent in every
way. Accordingly, it provides them wide-ranging opportunities to tap their
potential. It’s a perfect institution.

Top Teachers
Trinity teachers are extremely supporting and friendly – its
main strength! There is something special – familial – about
the connection formed between students and teachers. My CIE
success is all because of the faculty. Another extraordinary feature
of this institution is the encouragement given to budding artists and writers. The
First Place that I won in the Pakistani Embassy Essay Writing Competition, 2015,
was largely due to the motivating College environment.

Our Scholarships
Changing Lives
Trinity provides excellent educational opportunities, particularly scholarships, to
deserving students. The College has given scholarships to hundreds of outstanding
students from various parts of Nepal or elsewhere. Our scholarships are provided
on the basis of SLC results, Trinity Entrance Tests, results of Term and Board
examinations, or outstanding achievements in ECAs including sports.
Notably, some of these awardees include the financially, geographically, physically,
or socially disadvantaged. This is a distinctive feature of this institution making it a
socially inclusive and compassionate place for all citizens or others. All our awards
It has been noticed that our scholarships diversely impact and change the very
future of the winners whatever their background. The awarded students nearly
always obtain very high marks including positions in Board or University exams.
Such awardees, more often than not, get admission to study courses of their choice
and, alongside, win national or international scholarships in renowned institutions
eventually furthering their careers.

Scholarships
at Trinity
2072 BS
The effects of Trinity scholarships are best exemplified through the words of the beneficiaries!
“Trinity met all my expectations and gave me everything I needed
– predominantly, a most-sustaining scholarship! Alongside
providing top-class studies, it also assisted me to explore my
inner talent – all compelling reasons why Trinity needs to be
everyone’s first choice.”
“A remarkably supportive college, Trinity awards precious
scholarships to keen young achievers that build a competitive
attitude motivating them to work hard. Such key awards, that
greatly lessen the family burden, wholly encourage students to
keep learning and achieving.”

Trinity Legacy
The legacy of the College and excellence in performance are interwoven . . . We give the best possible to our students; Trinity students, in return, do their best! Their
accomplishments in academics, ECAs or CCAs have often received the highest praise from men of the stature of the Prime Minister or Vice Chancellors and have taken them
to famous places like Harvard or Everest’s summit or the London Olympics. All this bonds the Institution and its students strongly together. As time goes by, this link makes
all of us prouder because of what all we achieve individually or as a Family of Achievers.

Accomplishments Galore!
Aiming High . . .
Our students aim high and very often achieve much! No wonder that the Trinity logo has been to places that matter
be it the London Olympics 2012 or Mount Everest. This is no small achievement for any College. Trinitians have
been participating and winning in various contents or shows such as beauty pageants, basketball championships,
TV quiz competitions, chess championships, the Physics Olympiad, Denmark, or sports events at Dasrath Stadium,
Kathmandu. Just name the event – local, national, regional, or international – or the place where one isn't likely to
find Trinitians smiling as confident participants or happy winners.
