Aerialist and Dancer
Maya Kramer is a world-renowned Aerial artist, Dancer
Choreographer and Teacher. Some of her credits include
television shows such as “So You Think You Can Dance”
Israel, Cirque style shows as “Voyage de la Vie” Singapore
and musicals such as “Cats”, Variety shows, Traditional and
Modern Circus, Opera, Grand scale events and much more.
Her career has spanned the globe performing teaching
studying and choreographing in Europe, The US, Canada,
The Middle East Africa and Asia.
Maya has been teaching masterclasses and workshops for
Aerial instructors as well as aerial and dance classes in
Singapore, Hong Kong, Philippines, Israel, Sweden, Los
Angeles, New York City and Quebec. She has worked as both
an aerial coach and dance teacher teaching multi discipline
aerial apparatus such as trapeze, Aerial Hoop, Hammock,
Aerial Silks, Doubles and Singles and dance disciplines as
Classical ballet, Contemporary, Musical Theater, Jazz, Latin
and middle eastern dance as well as yoga and Pilates.
Maya is very versatile as both a performer and instructor;
she has travelled around the globe to collect the best training
from the best places. Her training include the completion
of certified Pilates programs, aerial coaching in Quebec and
Montreal, musical theater on Broadway (where she studied
with Ann Reinking and Ben Vereen), acting coaching by
Gene Frenkle and voice by Adrian Angel. Maya gives back
all she has learned in places like Gothenburg Sweden where
she taught the dance program to musical theater students
for the very luxurious music university “Artisten” (rated #1
musical theater schooling in the 5 countries of Scandinavia)
or teaching at international teacher conferences.
She choreographed for grand scale shows around the
globe - she has created a 5-person silks act for the grand
variety show “Wow”- Israel’s longest running and largest
international variety show, working with dancers and floor
acrobats to bring them into the air both coaching them to
learn aerial skills and perform them safely as they are getting
stronger and creating their act. She has performed and cochoreographed her solo Cube act as well as synchronized
double hoop act and performed and trained for bungees,
Wushu martial arts, sword fighting and whips for “Voyage
de la vie” a multi-million dollar theatrical rock spectacular
in Singapore, created by the generating company UK and
RWS Singapore, where she performed as a solo principal
act, an aerialist, dancer, character and actor.
She performed as dance soloist as well as double trapeze
artist and character for Circus Colombaro in Holland.
She was picked to do the aerial solos and duets for
international Israeli singer “Sarit Hadad” for her grand
shows in Ceasaria and Jerusalem. She travelled to Istanbul
to create an aerial due for Aksigrta bank. She created aerial
pieces for shows with “Aerial Arts Academy” in Hong Kong
and “Acropolates” in Singapore. She was a top 7 contestant
on “SYTYCD” Israel.
Currently she has been teaching and performing in Los
Angeles Ca, in Cirque school and Hollywood Aerial Arts,
as well as travelling for training and special workshops in
Israel (teaching at national circus school helping creating
some of the students’ specialty acts and teaching selfcreated workshops for dancers who want to go in the air
and acrobats who want to dance and more) and Canada
(Training at Cirque Eloize, NEC, and Quebec circus
school).
