The range of mobile wallmounted dis-tributor boxes was developed for
largescale power supply purposes. This group features varied component fitting options, practical handling (handle, brackets), various combination options and practical accessories.
For regular events in particular such as markets, trade fairs, events, constructions sites, etc. finely graded installations can be created in a very

Main distributor boxes (MDB) for construction sites
The main distributor box on the construction site
High demands, such as are to be encountered on construction sites,
require special electrical products. Our response to these demands is
the unmatched durability of the design of our distribution boxes, which
makes them extremely robust. GIFAS distributor boxes feature special
design details, starting with the solid stand and the sturdy, corrosion-resistant metal housing, through to the electrical components packaged in
hard rubber housings.
Well-thought-out design and construction details guarantee a long product lifecycle and ease of maintenance and servicing.
Thanks to this design and many years of application and product competence, you as a customer get a product offering excellent value for
money.
We stock a standard range in three fundamentally different versions, in
compliance with standards EN 61439/4.

The distributor box for direct connection to the electricity supply grid, with
input fuse and prewired meter panel.
After the new low-voltage installation (NIV) regulations came into force
(as of 01.01.2002), many energy supply companies decided to rethink
their procedures and to take a new approach.
Thanks to the relatively low investment costs, many energy suppliers acquired what are known as NIV power station meter boxes, which guarantee the clear separation of areas of responsibility between the grid and
the consumer.
In many places an NIV power station meter box is included in the circuit
by the energy supplier, ahead of the conventional distributor box. This
procedure has a direct influence on the equipment of the distributor box.
For this reason we offer a distributor box for external metering (without a
meter) for connection to the works' NIV box.

Depending on the local works regulations, converters are to be used for
power consumption metering. The basic principle for the distributor box
remains as follows: direct connection to the electricity grid, with input
fuse and prewired meter panel (converter measurement).

1. The sheet steel housing with a wall thickness of 2 mm is very sturdy.
The immersion prime coating and powder coating in RAL 7035 guarantee a high corrosion resistance.

and is very solid. Sturdy hinges and metal locking sets increase the
quality of the door. The additional metal bracket allows locking with
a padlock.

servicing. By releasing four to six screws, the internal element can be
removed for any repairs.

Mains terminal box (Power station - NIV)
The regulations
The low voltage installation ordinance (Niederspannungs-Installationsverordnung; NIV) specifies where the limit point is between the public
mains network and the installation, among other points.In accordance
with NIV (section 2, article 2), the division of responsibility between the
electricity plant supplying the power and the installation owner for the
input terminals on the connected overcurrent circuit breaker.
The problem
With standard construction site installations, it is not possi-ble to assign
specific areas of responsibility. A power sta-tion can share the responsibility for a third party main dis-tributor box (accidents/damage compensation).
Our solution
To clearly regulate the responsibility, GIFAS-Electric has collaborated with
its customers to develop a new mains terminal box for power stations
which conforms to the NIV in force.The power station operating the mains
network provides its own terminal box, fully connected up to the mains
and ready for operation, fitted with a freely accessible connec-tion point.
From this connection point, the installer can then set up the power supply
for the construction site.

The energy supplier's area of responsibility and that of the installation
owner meet at the input terminals of the excess current circuit breaker in
a building or, in particular for construction sites, at the distributor box of
the installation owner (the proprietor of the distributor box).
In the case of conventional construction site installations, this means that
the electricity supplier shares responsibility for part of a third-party distributor box.
