Comlongon Castle is a totally unique wedding venue offering a concept
simply not found anywhere else, we specialise in hosting bespoke
wedding ceremonies and receptions offering couples from all over the
world the opportunity to have every aspect of their celebration held in one
location organised by experts. Simply put, we do turn your fantasy into reality.
We have a very clear aim, to change the way the wedding industry has traditionally
been organised. Over the years we have found the majority of other venues charge
a premium for weddings, often inflating prices and placing bizarre restrictions on
bookings. Why should this be and more to the point why should you put up with
this?
Guests often describe our style as relaxed informal house party. If this is what you
are looking for then we are probably the venue for you. We offer something seldom
found these days; a subtle blend of passion, history, dedication and luxury, in short; affordable excellence.
Often imitated by others but never quite matched. We are here for one purpose; to guarantee that every
wedding surpasses the previous.
When you arrive at Comlongon Castle you immediately sense there is something special about us. We form
close ties with couples who return year after year to revisit knowing we continually reinvest all revenue
improving the building. You will be on first name terms with our staff within an hour of arrival.
Comlongon Castle is a privately owned and run business. Phillip takes great care that every aspect of the
business reflects the very best the region has to offer. All our staff, suppliers and contractors are local. No
one is allowed mention on our website without meeting very strict standards in pricing, standards and
professionalism.
We do not open to the public both our restaurants and bar are exclusively private. This means when you book
Comlongon for a wedding you are essentially gaining access to a private club which is yours for the duration
of your stay.
We very rarely advertise, relying on past clients to recommend us by word of mouth, or through review sites
such as TripAdvisor something we are particularly proud of.
We don’t even produce a brochure as everything we provide is detailed on our website at www.comlongon.
com. This allows us to constantly introduce new products and services and deal with each client directly.
We encourage clients to register their e-mail address with us to be updated with news, discounts and special
offers.
Wedding ceremonies start from as little as £500.
We always have wedding coordinators on duty from 8 am until 10 pm every day to answer any questions,
explain further or simply give advice. We have assembled one of the most experienced and knowledgeable
teams in the industry who will help create the wedding you have only ever dreamed of.
Over the years we have found that clients have a perception that this level of luxury and professionalism is
beyond their budget. To this end we offer a calculator on our website that allows you to produce your own

Over the last 25 years we have carefully restored and converted the most
important fortification in southern Scotland into the country’s leading
wedding venue. Every aspect at Comlongon Castle has been specifically
designed to enhance and compliment weddings.
GARDENS Our 120 acre estate has been specifically crafted to give ample
opportunity for perfect wedding photographs. Every area of the gardens
present numerous photographic opportunities, it’s almost impossible to
take a bad picture here.
MENUS We produce individual menus on a daily basis allowing your guests to choose their
meal options on the day; something no other venue does. Most present you with menu A or menu
B choosing your meals several weeks before arrival. Here, no matter the size of your group, we
allow every guest to make their own selection on the day of your wedding. We have two dining
rooms. Our oak paneled Jacobean dining room seats up to 86, whilst we have a further private
room for smaller groups of less than 20 who may prefer a more intimate atmosphere.
ADVICE We supply virtually everything you could need for your dream celebration. Most can be organised
in advance. This means less stress, less worry and a reliance on a group of experts that do this for a living,
day in day out. If you take on board our advice, not only will you have the best wedding imaginable but your
guests will have the best party they have been invited to for years
UNIQUE Every wedding is unique. Over the years there is probably nothing that we have not sourced or
provided. Our staff are on duty all day to give advice offer suggestions or just to answer questions, no matter
how small. Wedding coordinators are here free of charge to assist in crafting the perfect event.

ACCOMMODATION Every room in the castle is individually designed, most with
four poster beds, all with en-suite facilities. We provide a subtle blend of history,
luxury and elegance. The height of luxury is defined by our new honeymoon lodge.
This facility has under floor heating throughout, two large bathrooms and a 7 foot
wide bed. Every piece of furniture in the Lodge has been especially commissioned.
The Lodge is ideal to organise for a wedding ceremony as it allows several bridesmaids
to get ready at the same time.
WEDDING LOCATIONS Once you organise your wedding with us you have the
choice on the estate where to host your ceremony. There are several locations that you could consider, all of
which can be organised on the day, depending upon weather. It’s your choice.
SIMPLE TO BOOK One call can book your wedding. Some clients book their wedding with us from one
telephone call without even visiting us, relying upon our website, recommendations, expertise of staff and
reviews. We will organise a little or as much as you wish.
RELIGIOUS OR CIVIL WEDDING We can organise many forms of marriage, from civil, religious, civil
partnerships to hand fasting. One major misconception clients have is if they have been previously married
they have to have a civil wedding. Any couple who approach us can choose a religious ceremony. You do not
need to be a resident of Scotland, meet the Minister or even have a rehearsal. If you have been previously
married, as long as you have your decree absolute, your religious ceremony is considered as new.
PERSONALISED SERVICE You have the opportunity to personalise the wedding service if you wish.
Altering or adding, with the consent of the celebrant, any aspect you may consider.
ORGANISE IN ADVANCE We always advise couples to organise as much as they possibly can in advance of
their arrival. Imagine the stress levels you will experience the moments before you travel to the castle. The
more you organise in advance the more relaxed your booking will be.
