Chapels and Tigers and Trams - OH MY! Walk down the path of
the Bible - come draw nigh! It’s all here in Eureka Springs, AR.
As we head in to Arkansas for our day of outdoor adventures, we’ll
have our first stop at the awe-inspiring Thorncrown Chapel, a majestic
glass chapel nestled in the Ozark Mountains.
Then we continue on our winding path to Eureka Springs where
we’ll hop on board a tram for a guided tour to see sights and hear
history. We’ll then be dropped back off at Myrtie Mae’s for a lunch
that you won’t soon forget!

After lunch we head out to the grounds of The Great Passion Play.
Here we’ll visit the Bible Museum which is made up of more than
6000 Bibles in 625 languages, as well as, 3000 artifacts. Some of the
rarest Bibles include an original 1st edition 1st printing 1611 King
James Version, the only Bible signed by all of the original Gideons
in 1898; the first Cherokee Bible; as well as a page from the
Gutenberg Bible. We’ll then visit the Sacred Arts Museum where
you’ll see pieces dating back to the ninth century, as well as a mix
of artistic mediums portraying Christ and the Christian life. In fact
there are over 1000 works of art in 64 different forms, making it one
of the most extensive collections of Christ-centered art. Before we
leave we’ll get a photo at the feet of The Christ of the Ozarks. Wow!
Next we’re off to Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge where they rescue
abandoned, abused or unwanted big cats with emphasis on tigers,
lions, leopards and cougars. We’ll arrive in time for the main
feeding of these wild cats. You’ll be amazed at all that takes place in
this beautiful cat sanctuary and their history. After our tour, we’ll then
have a catered picnic dinner on site here that will leave your taste
buds asking for more trips to come in your near future!
