Daniel Garber [1880-1958].
American impressionist landscape
painter and printmaker and member
of the Art Colony of New Hope,
Pennsylvania. He also painted
figurative interior works and
excelled at etching. Taught art at
the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine
Arts for 40 years. He settled latterly
at Cuttalossa, down river from
Lumberville, and a few miles up the
Delaware River from New Hope. His
most famous works are a 1917
series on the Quarries in Byram,
New Jersey.
