Old Loom
Old vintage table top two
harness loom.
When I got this loom, around
2004ish, the lady said it was
about 50 years old. It’s marked
Hoover Jr. High on the bottom. It
was a teaching loom at the Jr.
High, probably in the 50’s and
60’s.

All fibers weights are total weight, including tare weight of the inner spool. Since I didn’t have an empty one to weigh, and they’re all different, I didn’t have an ounce weight to
subtract from total weight.
Lavender spool: 3/10. More of a lightweight yarn than a thread. Slightly fuzzy. Great for scarves etc. 2 lbs. 5 oz.
Painted Desert (Coral/Bark/Mauve/Turquoise): 8/2 tencel. 100% cotton. Approx. 3360 ypp. 1 lb. 2 oz. Paid $31.20 for this spool from Village Spinning & Weaving in Solvang,
California. Never used.
Natural Cotton: 8/2 tencel. 100% cotton. Approx 3360 ypp 9.9 oz. Paid $20.02 for this spool from Village Spinning and Weaving in Solvang, California. Never used.
Blue/Lavender/Pink Mix Cotton: 10/2 mercerized perle cotton. 4200 ypp. 1 lb. 0.9 oz. (This was one pound when purchased and I used it as part of a 2” border in four 18” wide
dishtowels, so cone is probably 50-60 yards short of initial purchase.)
Natural Boucle: 100% cotton. 1650 ypp. 1 lb. 2 oz.
3/5 Cotton Flake (Coral/Lilac/Maize): 3000 ypp. 1 lb. 5.1 oz.
5/2 Dark Sierra: 100% cotton. 3600 ypp. 13.2 oz.
5/2 Champagne: 100% cotton. 2100 ypp. 4.9 oz.
Lime mystery fiber: appears to be 5/2 weight. 11.3 oz.
Light Blue Linen: 100% linen. 7.1 oz. Approx 920 yds.
