We had our show on the16th of
August and it went off without a hitch.
I would like to thank all involved in
making this show was a success.
From Wallingford Buick-GMC for
allowing us to use their site, to all the
sponsors who made donations and
the to chapter members who did all
the leg work before and on the day
of the show. I would also like to thank
those that attended. It was nice to
see them and their Buick on the field.
Looked like everyone was having a
good time.

A big Congratulations goes out to
Ron Thresher as a triple crown
winner. Ron almost did not make it
due to health issues but, his neighbor
was kind enough to allow the use of
his vehicle and trailer to bring the car
to the show. His Buick was chosen
as First in his class, Best of show and
Dealers Choice. Well done, and glad
you were able to attend.
Well the season is now winding
down but there are still a few year
end events that look good. We hope
to make a few of the ones noted in
the Calendar section.
We have a few upcoming year end
tasks to review. First will be where
we will make donations this year from
the proceeds of our show. Second
would be the Election of officers.
Definitely need to know if anyone is
not willing to remain in office and of
those that would be interested in a
position. We only have a few
meetings left to get these tasks done
so please attend to offer your input

This newsletter is published to the esteem of the members of the BCA Yankee Chapter.
MEETING MINUTES of August 12th 2015

Routine
The chapter met at Newfield Pizza Middletown CT.
The meeting began at 7:00 PM with 13 Members present.
The previous minutes were read by Karen and accepted.
Treasurer’s report was emailed by Judy stating that the approx. balance is $3900.00.
Membership
We have had 88 % of the chapter renew with 7 past members not renewing..
Old Business
We will go ahead with research on using The HearthStone Restaurant as a location for our Holiday party.
Thought was to alternate between 2 different locations.
Tom Lane checked with the BCA Office and found that BCA Members are covered with liability insurance
for club sponsored events so there is no need to purchase an additional policy.
Car Show
Everything seems on track for the day of our show. Staff were asked to bring their own chairs so that we do
not run short.
New Business
Discussion of plans for next years show was held. Some felt that maybe we can skip next year since the
National is close by and a short time before we would have scheduled our show. Many are planning to
attend the 2016 National and some have already booked rooms at either the Best Western or Fairfield
Suites. We will try to plan some things we can do as a group while we are there.
John mentioned the possibility of having a regional for 2017 if we worked along with other chapters. More
discussion on this will be held at a future meeting.
Brunch Social Possibly for Aug 29th.
Next Meeting
Next meeting will be Wednesday Sept 9th at Newfield Pizza, 558 Newfield St Middletown at 7:00 PM.
