Förster’s Natural Products are really special, for they not only provide care
and comfort for people, but also help to protect and preserve the environment!
With our lovingly crafted products, we want to give our customers a sense of
well-being. Unlike the mass-produced articles, our products are exceptional:
unique handmade items, they are sumptuous, durable and delightful – simply
special! Förster’s Natural Products unites three generations in one family-run
company. Together with our staff we are a strong community working every day
to achieve our goal of offering our customers a complete package of natural,
eco-friendly personal care products. We are proud to say that our company
and our production have remained in Germany, despite the trend towards
globalization. Over the decades, we have developed specially crafted wellness and sauna products to complement the textile massage articles which
are our passion. In collaboration with master craftsmen and experts of their
trade, we have developed further innovative highlights for your well-being.

Förster’s Massage
Förster’s Natural Massage Products are manufactured in our textile factory
near Cologne. For 150 years, the experience of successive generations and
traditional skills using knitting machines and looms developed by the company
itself have ensured that our textile massage articles meet the highest quality
standards worldwide. A range of different materials, material compositions,
colours and shapes of our textile products have all contributed to the incomparable quality that is »Made in Germany«.
Materials
Förster’s Natural Massage Products are designed to meet the demands of
all customers. They consequently extend from gentle, soothing massages with
chenille or bamboo fibres or a moderately vigorous massage using a mixture
of cotton and linen to intensive massages with coarse Indian flax. The materials used for Förster’s are either organically grown under controlled conditions
without use of pesticides or they are carefully selected natural fibres which
have been processed in harmony with nature.
Bio I Organic
Förster’s organic massage products are not only certified to Global Organic Textile Standards GOTS, but are also certified by the International Association Natural Textile Industry, IVN BEST. These marks of quality warrant that all
products labelled Bio I Organic are made from over 98 % fibres organically
grown under controlled conditions. In this way, we at Förster’s actively help
to protect the environment and maintain the diversity of species. By buying
our loofah products, you are participating in fair trade, for you are supporting
small farmers in Paraguay who grow and process loofah in the region. The aid
project helps to continuously improve the loofah farmers‘ standard of living
and education. Fair pay makes it possible to build proper weatherproof homes
and a local school.
Natur I Nature
In addition to the certified organic products, we also produce a large
number of massage articles made from pure natural materials. These carefully
cultivated, regrowing raw materials are harvested in a sustainable, natural
manner before being ecologically processed into untreated natural fibres.
Effect
The fields of application are as diverse as the vast array of materials: in
addition to soft mitts for facial care, Förster’s Natural Massage Products also
include mitts for a stimulating body massage or massage belts for harder-toreach parts of the body, such as the back or hips. Give your body a quick and

is mentioned on the packing. Förster’s is certified by the
GOTS and IVN BEST hallmarks of quality which guarantee
a traceable and transparent production chain, free from
chemicals and poisonal additives. All our products certified
by the EU-regulation for organic-products solely contain
organic yarns from sustainable growing methods. Förster’s
puts the emphasis on organic-products to delight human

The family Förster has been manufacturing textile products
in Germany since 1862. Traditionally, natural fibres have
been used in the manufacture of the wellness and massage
products. Förster`s massage not only conveys comfort and
well-being, our products are also 100 % natural, biologically
and economically sustainable and the production in balance
with the environment. In taking care of your skin, you are
taking care of Mother Nature. A lot of Förster’s products
are certified by the GOTS BEST, others are made of
natural renewable raw material also in accordance with
environment, even without seal and certificate.

Förster’s is the last European plant manufacturing
textile massage products. We use only traditional band
looms to weave body brushes made from sisal on a cotton
under-sheet. We have regular visits from school to show
the pupils the old weaving methods and to give them some
concrete opportunities to see sustainable and exciting
techniques. Förster’s sisal body brushes provide a unique
massage as the bristles fit the contours of human body
which reflects the carefully applied handmade finish – a
traditional handcrafted product.

Selected native woods are used for Förster’s Sauna, Hand & Hair Care
Products. High-quality wood accessories for everyday care routines are carefully handcrafted in Germany. Particular attention is paid to the selection of
different types of wood, such as olive, bamboo, beech and pear, which are
then combined with natural bristles, vegetable fibres or wooden bristles. For
everyday use, craftsmen combine the beautifully styled wood base with the
optimum natural bristle for the application concerned. The result is an artistically crafted commodity item – for a visibly groomed appearance.
Bio I Organic
Förster’s Sauna, Hand & Hair Care Products offer our customers everyday
care in harmony with nature. We therefore attach great importance to using
FSC-certified wood, for it guarantees sustainable forest management in which
the felled forests are subsequently replanted. In this way, we can ensure that
our high-quality wood accessories are produced in harmony with the available
resources and not at the expense of our environment.
Natur I Nature
All the natural wood used for Förster’s Sauna, Hand & Hair Care Products
comes from regional forest populations. Here too, careful and circumspect
use of the available local wood supply helps to preserve our environment.
Effect
Förster’s sauna brushes carefully combine various materials so that you can
choose from different effects and degrees of hardness for your massage –
with moderately invigorating natural bristles or the harder sisal bristles or
highly invigorating wooden bristles. In combination with the very high-grade
wood used, these products will reliably continue to give pleasure for many
years. Our hand washing brushes ensure thorough cleaning and care for all
applications. The range includes natural bristles for daily cleaning, as well as
sisal bristles for hands dirtied by gardening or work. Their ergonomically
shaped wooden base allows them to be handled comfortably and effectively.
Förster’s hairbrushes give your hair a beautifully soft, velvety sheen. Wild boar
bristles transport natural body oils to the hair to protect it from environmental
influences. The wooden bristles effectively untangle the hair and stimulate the

Our wood products bearing the FCS seal have been
harvested from well-managed forests. This ensures that our
wood processed for the Förster’s product lines sauna, hairand hand care has not been harvested from excessive defor-
ested areas but from sustainably well-managed forests. After
the harvest, the field will be replanted with tree seedlings at
once. Be assured that pampering yourself with our products
means also pampering the environment at the same time.

major factor is to consider that the different wood species

our specialists to choose awesome FSC certified wood or
non-certified wood from guaranteed sustainable forestry.
For example we only buy wood from olive trees which have
become unproductive, to keep up with the peace of nature
they have to be replaced with new trees.

What makes Förster’s wash mitts special is that they come in two different
sizes: the mini-mitt is ideal for small children’s hands, encouraging them to

Natur I Nature
Our Nature products are also manufactured by Förster’s with the utmost
care and subjected to strict quality controls. All Kids‘ products are ideal for
children’s sensitive skin. Like the Förster’s Bio I Organic series, they can be
used for child care without reservations. Our Nature wash mitts make bathing
fun from the very first moment. The cheerful animal shapes encourage children to join in and play. Förster’s natural sponges from the sea are a special
highlight of the Kids‘ Nature line. The sponges change their size in the water,
making them a great toy for the bathtub – and they are of entirely natural
origin.
Wood products
Förster’s small child-sized wooden accessories, such as hairbrushes, hand
brushes and sauna brushes, are made from native FSC-certified beechwood.
Designed to fit children’s small hands, they encourage the kids and make the
daily bath a pleasurable, relaxing experience for all.
Bio I Organic
All the wood used for our wood products comes from sustainably managed,
FSC-certified forests. Particularly where the young generation is concerned,

There are almost five thousand different species of
natural sponges in the seas worldwide. Sponge divers
are only allowed to collect seven species, the quantity
and places of harvest are legally fixed. The sponges are
carefully hand cut to ensure that the base of the sponge
remains intact. That guarantees the regeneration and
the re-grow back to their full size. Förster’s sponges come
from the Mediterranean or the Caribbean Sea. In the
Caribbean the sponges grow in knee-deep water near
the surface. The Mediterranean sponges grow in greater
depths, divers find them up to the depth of 30 m. Before
using, the sponge should completely soak up with water:
it becomes super soft and nearly twice as big as in dry
condition. After the usage let it dry thoroughly, it will
become hard and smaller again. Place the sponge into
salty water and it cleans itself.

Förster’s pumice stones are naturally foamed volcanic rocks called
rhyolites, harvested from solidified
lava. Förster’s pumice stones are
not treated with any chemicals like
the standard ones. Only the finish
cutting gives them their individual
shapes every piece is one of a kind.
The characteristic structure of this
stone lends itself to an effective
skin care.

The Certificates
FSC certified wood from
well-managed forests
Wood is as originally as Nature
itself. It is found worldwide and
belongs to the renewable raw
materials. But only as long as the
harvested quantity does not
exceed the re-growing one. Customers have
to trust without wondering that the offered
wood comes from responsibly managed
forests. Our wood products bearing the
internationally renowned Forest Stewardship Council seal have been harvested
from well-managed forests in an environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial,
and economically viable way. The forest
managers and owners have to take part in
an annual audit to verify the compliance of
these controlled wood standards. It is a seal
of approval. Thus, Förster’s FSC certification is a way of ensuring that our wood has
not been taken from excessive deforested
areas but has been harvested sustainably in
well-managed forests. After the harvest for
our products, the field will be replanted with
tree seedlings at once.
GOTS – The internationally accepted
seal for textile Confidence
GOTS guarantees a safe and
transparent textile processing
standard for organic fibres,
including ecological and social
criteria, backed up by independent certification of the entire textile supply chain. The
aim of the standard is to define worldwide recognised requirements that ensure
organic status of textiles, from harvesting of
the raw materials, through environmentally
and socially responsible manufacturing up
to labelling in order to provide a credible
assurance to the end consumer. Especially
guaranteed are: fair wages and hours of
labour, no child labour and hygienically
safe health conditions for workers. Förster’s
organic yarns are naturally, not treated
and only from controlled organic production (kbA). Moreover it is guaranteed by
the GOTS seal that minimum 95 % of the
processed yarn fibres come from ecological
farming. This is most important to us as the
textile fibres come intensively into contact
with the skin during a massage to open the
pores and remove dry and excess skin.

The hallmark of quality IVN Best
created by the International
Association of Natural Textile
Industry with the strictest requirements for ecological textile production
represents the highest technical level even
higher than the GOTS. Förster’s maintained
all the strict standards in every processing facility involved in the production and
became certified not only by GOTS but also
by IVN BEST. We are proud of processing
and manufacturing truly 100 % organic quality. The processed yarns originate 98 % in
controlled organic production (kbA). Only
