In true fairy tale fashion, Catrinel Marlon was
discovered at the age of 16 when she was turning
back home from a track and field practice. She had
an immediate success in the modeling business after
she signed a contract with MRA Models Agency in
Bucharest.
After just a couple of months she
participated in the „Ford Supermodel of Romania‟
where she placed second. She soon moved to the
world‟s fashion capital Milan and signed a contract
with Major Models Agency. Currently, she is being
represented by IMG Models Agency in New York.
Catrinel‟s portfolio began to expand exponentially ,
appearing in numerous international editions of
Maxim and FHM. As for fashion shows, she presented
for prestigious designers.
In 2004 she was named the most beautiful woman in
the world by FHM Romanian edition and model of the
year by Pantene.
Catrinel continued to build upon her entry and more
print work for GQ, Elle,
Cosmopolitan, Fitness
Magazine, Sports Illustrated to name a few. One of
her notable works includes the 2009 Peroni calendar
and Lise Charmel. She is the first Romanian model to
appear on the cover of Sports Illustrated in 2007 and
2009.

camera, Catrinel decided to further her studies in
acting and diction.
Her beauty and talent have not escaped from the
watchful eye of the film director Federico Brugia
who chose her as the star in a short film “La
promessa” and in the feature film “Tutti i rumori del
mare”.
Besides this, Catrinel is the protagonist of the tv
commercial “Fiat Abarth”, produced for the US
market. The spot is one of the most clicked in the
web and is broadcasted during the Super Bowl.
Actually Catrinel is not only an actress, model and
photographer in real life, but also in the italian tv
program “Chiambretti Night Show”
